Do you get a nice little shark sticker with your sts units?

ggggrrrrrrr!!!!!! Not working :(

Downloaded file from OBD OK, but when plug into laptop via USB it won't find the driver.

Spoke to SHARK and they reckon I need to download Windows 64bit (mines 32bit), but can't seem to find the upgrade for Vista, and I'm not sure if I want to as I have loads of work stuff on it. Seems a drastic way of downloading a file!

I've read on past threads about downloading Drivers from Alientech (3.86) -

Which I have done and seemed OK - Successful download message, but no USB drive pops up when I plug the STS in.

Did those of you who had it get any instructions? Mine didn't come with anything (nothing but invoice), have read on past threads regarding people who have problems with it, solving it by methodically reading them!!! I can't!

Last resort - My Dads popping over with his laptop (64bit apparantly) - may solve using this!

Download the pdf user manual from www.sharkperformance.co.uk/downloads and this gives you step by step instructions . As last post I just can't type fast enough on my phone

If you are using 32 bit windows, then you do not need any extra drivers. If you are struggling, then I can give you support over the phone.

Make sure you are pointing the driver installation wizard to c:\xconsole when the driver installation wizard is looking for the location.

Lumpy in 4th?

I just went out again and showed my mate who had r32, he reckons the vrs might just beat it. I don't know if it is smoother than before to be honest, maybe a little lumpy in 4th and a bit more boost just before 4000rpm? Could be me noticing the before and after power change?

i'm sure if you send them a message they will pop you some in the post. i think i recall in the shark section it being mentioned that they are free for customers that have had a remap. not too sure on that though

Still no sign of my STS, took a second day off work to get it as early as poss. :no:

Really wanted to get it sorted before the weekend so I could have a good play.

Keeping optimistic, hopefully this afternoon............

We are waiting on delivery for stickers, as soon as they come in i shall ask for everyone who would like them and post them out.

Mine came this morning literally 30 mins from gettin the parcel setting up the software and reading the car to sending the file away to Shark AWESOME!!!! two stickers in mine, once i give the car yet another wash i will stick it on.

i'm still debating whether or not to put the stickers on and let people know the car is tuned or leave it blank and be a bit of a sleeper.

All boiled down to that I didn't get the sheet that pointed you to the download section where you get the Xconsole software.

Not having any info I assumed it was plug & play. Trouble was this locked the cars ECU disabling any further downloads for 30mins, nightmare!

Anyway, all sorted now and map with Shark. I await the return of the steroidal map. :p

didn't realise it would take up to 30 mins reading the ecu, I was sat in my car yesterday at 2am looking for the obd port, must have looked very suspect. Cant wait to get the map now! Thanks Ben, Cheryl and co for allowing the group buy to go ahead. I nearly went revo or APR, but at this price with an sts unit and of course the customer service you cant fault the Shark team
