I don't have the Electric Tailgate, didn't really consider it, TBH, but I can understand the frustration.

OP, I would take the car but negotiate a couple of free services for yourself (after deducting the price of the option that was not fitted).

That way, you get compensated in your pocket and the dealer isn't too much out of pocket, himself!

I know I never got back to say Thank You for all your help on this as a group - but Thank you anyway. I had to leave town for a couple of weeks and couldn't get onto the internet etc.

The conclusion to story is I have agreed a useful compensation for no electric boot and and the very happy driver of a new Combi - thanks again for all the advice etc...

(P.s. - conclusion - there is always a deal to be done....)
