Hi!

I'm a Furby (and one time Felicia) driver in rural West Wales which is a great place to drive (traffic jam- what's that?) and Skodas are pretty thick on the ground here.

I'm also female ... does that make me unique on here? I'm sure not so where are all the other women? Have looked at this site a good few times to sort out some tech problems with my cars, thought I should actually get round to joining.

I love my car to bits but it's not exciting, had to go with the estate version which is not so good looking or fun but I need it to schlep round masses of stuff - I'm an antiques dealer. Will buy a red Monte for fun just as soon as I win enough on the lottery. I'm love cleaning my Furby, it's usually shining ... unlike my house!

Do their cars all run perfectly, or do they all have mechanics for partners, or is this site not female friendly? It can't be because they're afraid to ask - we ladies are famed for asking for directions instead of driving round in circles like blokes do. And we're assumed not to know a wishbone from an oil filter so no loss of face in asking.

It can't be because they're afraid to ask - we ladies are famed for asking for directions instead of driving round in circles like blokes do. It wasn't intended that way; it was intended as a statement that in the experience of a long-time site user that was where they mostly posted.

I'll happily answer "basic questions from the uneducated" irrespective of the sex of the questioner, including illustrations from Wikipedia to show how $gubbins works when required.

Have always found the site to be really friendly, apart from a few cruel jibes about my inability to cook anything except mash potato and beans Seriously though it's a really nice community and when I have needed to ask for help and advice, the guys have been great

im a lady =D and im always on here lmao , and this week i have seen 4 ladies driving skodas but all quite a bit older than me , nice to see some more females on briskoda .

Nice to hear from you! I agree, absolutely no pink fluffy stuff but it would be good to have a ladies' section. Lots of female Skoda drivers here in West Wales, and male ones too obviously. We seem to have an above average number of Skoda drivers .. our town car park has an unofficial Fabia only corner!

well there are millions of skodas here in havant because a large amount of the taxi drivers have them , me and my mum both have fabias and i know a lady with a yeti but thats it ! a corner now thats quite cute if we were to do that in my area it would be full of OAPs

We have a Skoda dealership in the area (Valley Services) which probably accounts for the high number of Skodas here, lots of Yetis on the road, I usually meet at least one a day even on short trips, and invariably drive by male OAPs. Also a few Roomsters and quite a few Octys but most are Fabias, few Superbs as there's not a lot of money round here! When I go to the Post Office in a nearby village I usually park next to a blue Fabia with a white roof but I've never seen the driver.

Valley Services is in Llandysul and that is Skoda central ! Something like every fifth car on the high street is a Skoda and not a taxi driver in sight!
