Cheap insurance companys that aren't on comparison sites.....suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions? my insurance quotes have gone up like £200 from my quotes a few days ago, and them ones aren't valid anymore Need to insure the fabia by friday as i'm still on the 1 week free insurance from the dealer. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Direct line and churchill both claim to not be on the sites, but if they're cheap, well you'll only know if you ask.

I've not tried them, but you could try some of the insurance websites that sponsor Briskoda. Some people seem to get a good deal

Check what happens when you add different drivers to the policy. Some companies reduce premiums with a female named driver others with named drivers of a certain age.

Aviva are currently doing a 3 months free deal. I got a good deal from them

cheers for the suggestions guys! been phoning around and the cheapest i got was from a company called brentacre (think thats how you spell it). A fair few people have said they're really good and have been with them for years.

When i phoned they told me that they will not up the insurance for visual modifications and exhaust, but i do need to tell them about engine performance mods. Good going i say

Aviva are cheap but the customer service over the phone is absolutely appalling, insure with them at you're own risk. Also known for refusing to payout.

Every time my insurance comes up, i try the various comparison sites, and a couple of independants, and i've yet to find an independant that can match the decent known brand quotes from comparison sites.

Just about to renew with Direct Line. Sure it's up on last year, but by £11 unlike friends and family who are £50-£100+ !!!!

So not bothering with the shopping around this year, as last year they couldnt be beaten.

Got my renewal through today with brentacre, £1300 for a vrs with no map and i've got 5 years no claims! called flux and they gave me £879.89 fully comp, sky wont insure my ch postcode and chris knott say i've got to be 25 to drive a vrs, even though i used to be insured with them on my 106 gti!

Might try admiral, any other suggestions?

Aviva insure me and have done since my second year of driving, they've been good for me. I think you'll often hear more bad stories about anywhere than good.

NFU all the way in my experience, might not be best for everyone, but usually very good for people with a good NCD. Another one for me was swiftcover, only pay £300 at 23 on the octy !!
