Well I've been out with the steering set to 5 and it's heavier and I like it.

I've been through all the numbers and there was only one that could be it but it didn't have a name just a load of "---" and I think it was turned off.

I'll have another play.

Central convenience section 46, and I think it is channel 5 or 6 where you turn on and off the locked / unlocked beep. I would charge nothing, Skoda? Who knows!!

This is the most annoying thing with my fabia, lock one beep, unlock two beeps, open boot another two beeps and it sounds crap.

Anyone willing to turn mine off for a few beers?!

I fancy the heavier steering. Anyone in Manchester able to do it for me?

Surly heavier/lighter would out more strain on the power steering pump?

It merely alters level of powered assistance. If anything I'd have thought making it heavier would reduce wear, as the pump uses less force. In any case, I suspect the ability to alter the value is intended for different weights of car and tyre sizes, rather than user preference. It won't make the pump operate above what its rated
