The next monthly meet for the East Midlands lot!

I fear we are fast becoming the victims of our own success

A turnout of 22 for what I think is probably the only regular monthly meet countrywide was simply staggering.......long may it continue

Have to say a big welcome to Jayneyyyy (and friend) for travelling all the way fo omGrimsby to meet a bunch of total strangers, and to seasoned members Will and Paige for gracing us with their presence from the South West.......such a shame we didn't have a clue what they were saying most of the time I did recognise 'combine harvester' and 'cider', but as for the rest I was absolutely clueless :( You'll be welcome though, whenever you're able to get back, honest - just leave my moobs alone next time

We also owe a big thank you to Gemma, who may now have to take on the role of resident meet comedienne, especially after the Penistone comments

On a serious note, we may in future have to properly book seating if we want to eat at a given time, say 7.45 or 8.00, in view of how much busier the pub is than before - I plan to book about 20 seats for the next meet, obviously with priority being given to those who wish to eat - I'll see if they can give us a dedicated area, where we won't upset the locals too much

Right, I think that's enough bull for one night

PS - there'll probably be a free drink available too , since it's Ant's 30th birthday (hope I've got that right ) on the same day

Saying how much you enjoyed yourself at the meet and then saying you'd prefer to be in the company of amnesiac ball swatters in a glass box!

However, if these people are typical of your opponents then I've just remembered that I'd like to take up squash and I'd even excuse them for being forgetful! They'd have to be content with playing on a non Brisky meet day though! :p
