Excellent - where? :D

hmm

the lobby system is causing HUGE lag tonight, so I'll start it again, but using direct IP instead.

Give me 2 mins then join at: ****** no password this time :) Simulation mode

No idea what went on tonight.

I joined with Jon and Paul in rcweb but I was the only one racing round.

We'll have to get ColinD to put the server up again and see if we can get quite a few together for a proper race

I think it's gone a little belly up tonight. It won't let me even login now.

um let me and jon in... 8-)

That was OK, the most running I've done in an NGT Ferrari at Donnington :) Great fun that car!

As Paul pointed out, I think I'll set it in Semi-pro mode for the next time instead of Simulation. I'll see if I can start one on thursday or friday.

nw meet tonight so i cant play till v late...

8-)

I've tried previously on other servers, and found the game unplayable at times, but the briskoda server worked a treat.

Not sure about next week, i'm working 1400-2200 shift, might be online later than usual. A big race would be more fun, as after the first corner, i didn't see many others (or longer races, so i can get lapped:D)

Question?

Can replay files be transfered between computers?

I have uploaded one for anyone to try

http://www.zen70965.zen.co.uk/Crash1don.Vcr

(assume its right click and 'save as')

Any other replays anyone wants to share?

anyone on line ?

am looking for a race?

someof us are in playing now...

!

join us!

Where do I copy the files to?

gtr/gamedata/teams/ngt/etc

or for tracks... its /locations

have a look its pretty self explanatory...

There is a readme included with both files - just follow them - it worked for me

If anybody wants to try and test, should be BRISKODA game in the lobby...grab me on msn if not.

The M3 is one of the nicest cars I've driven so far!

Just had a brief play with the TVR, I imagine it'll be fairly quick once I get used to it ;)

Colin - when we gonna have the briskoda server up again - missed it last night we could do with setting up a race - more the merrier.

ba if I knew why the dedicated would not work I'd be a popular man...

The one we all raced on was just me hosting via lobby and it worked with the port forwarding.

I cannot get the dedicated to run and be visible outside of the lan. Ports in plr are sorted, netstat shows nothing odd outside expected ports and I'm totally stuck. Does not help that I cannot test as I can't connect to my external ip from inside...

If only they had a linux client.

Setup of that sort of thing is beyond my fairly basic PC knowledge I'm afraid.

Had not realised it was just your system we were on - very little lag considering

I'm sure there must be someone on here that will know - probably some very little setting - recently had a network prob at work - I checked everything I could think of before calling our IT Dept - down he came - 1st thing he checked sorted it

  • 8 months later...

Just got myself a Momo racing feedback wheel -- it's transformed the game - it's still bloody hard but at least I can stay on track for more than 3 laps at a time.

Also got the GT Legends game --- very, very disappointed, not a patch on the original -- looks like its been rushed to the shops.

Is anyone else still playing the game?

I've recently picked it up again after updating my PC, and building a homemade sim racer cockpit:D

  • 2 weeks later...

Yes, I still play and race online regularly.

I race here: www.ukgtr.org
