No doubt - not to mention the insurance - Group 30 for a 3.6 compared to 21 for a 1.8TSI 4x4....

Insurance for me for my upcoming v6 3.6 is under £400, I didn't consider that too excessive and only about £80 more than the 170CR DSG I currently drive.

59 year old living in the South.

the insurance for my V6 is £10 more than I was quoted for a 170

I might blag one in a couple of years though Giz' I do a fair amount of mileage, but very little around town, mostly distance work so it could work :)

And you could do an LPG conversion :)

My friends done that to his XK8! :)

I'm just thinking... if the L&k has a TV Tuner, do you think dealers could source and fit the TV bits into a standard Columbus? would the price be ridiculously high???

I want one too but looking round they are ridiculously expensive.

I think it's pretty cool.

£2,600 is good value. Considering you get the sunroof, audio upgrade, sunset glass, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, they are all options I would have myself on a Superb, the other bits are a bonus though.

I love the brown interior, it's awesome. It won't be light brown it will look basically black with a touch of colour in it, and the internal trim suits the car well. I don't have an opinion either way about the alloys, I don't see them when I'm in the car and they don't offend me from the outside.

As for the grille... Hmm... Personally I think I would pop it off and replace it with an elegance one, but each to their own.

As for a £30k Skoda not selling, you'd be suprised, I've sold a fair number of Yetis and Superbs for around the £30k mark. It does happen, especially when people have just been to Mercedes and been asked for handover £48k for a E-Class, the Superb is a genuine bargain but I guess some people can't get their heads around the badge, it's a bit like the Lexus LS460 one of the best luxury cars ever made but it often gets overlooked because it isn't a BMW or a Merc etc.

Skoda have updated the configurator. It looks like you can chose to not have those wheels, which for most people, is a good thing. I like them though

I canceled my order of the L&K package yesterday and changed to Ivory/Elegance. I cant stand this brown sterring wheel and the really dark interior. Im 5 years too young for that.

Too young for brown leather!?

You need to get yourself round town on a Saturday night and take a look at the amount of brown leather shoes!

There are a couple of errors I've noticed in the brochure.

like in the Technical Glossary where Xenon lights are listed as elements of ESP :giggle:

Well in the pic of the boot it looks ok, other than that, not loving the brown.

I like the brown seats. But the steering wheel?! Goodness no. That looks terrible. And you better have a few slaves at home to help regularly clean those wheels. They must be a nightmare to clean.

Call the taste police, because I love it

The brown would be OK if you didn't get the oases of brown splodged into deserts of grey and black. Example the shot of the dashboard showing the gearlever.

It's rather like the new ivory seats but only with black carpet combo where there is that black area up the B pillar behind the front seats.

Just completely misses the target, problem is the volume of sales won't justify a completely different set of coloured plastic trim. They'd have done better, imho, to equip the L&K with really top notch upholstery and carpeting. Unfortunately that would mean they accept the inference that the Elegance leather and carpets leave something to be desired when viewed completely dispassionately cf the luxury sector.

no 3 spoke wheel

black inserts in the brown wheel

doors and dashboard are dark deserts

Jumped as a tiger and landed as a bedside carpet.
