Bad condensation

Featured Replies

Have been investigating the cause of my damp carpet {which turned out to be soaking wet!}. I pulled back the trim under the glove box but no sign of water around the pollen filter housing, however the bulkhead next to it was wet under the sound deadening. had a look at the bottom of the A pillar where it meets the scuttle trim and found both drain holes were virtually blocked with debris from fallen leaves etc. Have cleared those and taken off the scuttle trim but nothing seemed to be amiss, just hoping the blocked drain holes were causing water to run along the bottom of the screen under the trim and find its way into the car somehow.

Yeeeeaaaaaah... I'm not convinced putting it in for a half hour gentle heat tumble would have had quite the same effect as blasting it with high power micro waves for a few minutes.

I might try to defrost my chicken breast in the tumble dryer tonight though, thanks for the tip. ;)

A gentle tumble would probably have split it and then I would have had a tumble drier full of very fine sand.

In the end I gave up and got one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pingi-Rechargeable-Dehumidifier-moisture-caravan/dp/B003FTH8DU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1325609275&sr=8-3

It's a bit smaller (450G) so needs recharged more often but that's so much easier as you can just stick it in the microwave for a few minutes :)
