Hi Isaac,

It's just below the headlight and not in direct air flow (air is 'sucked' up from the cutout in the bumper) so I think it's OK - to be honest it hasn't actually rained since it was fitted so I can't say for sure.

However - the kit is really good and it does actually come with an adaptor so that should I want to (say for winter months or whatever) I can simply undo the clips and lift the pipe out, then fit the filter directly in the engine bay in the original airbox location (where most induction kits sit).

The small filter is for 2002 cars I believe - that pipe was originally connected to the airbox. It is for...... errrr - I don't know! But whatever it does it does it better now! (and looks good!) :D

I believe the small filter is for secondary air pump that pump air into the exhaust at startup

to speedup the cat temperature increase. The filter can be put at the pump if you want to

remove some of the plastic piping.
