the best reg for a yeti

Featured Replies

Mine spells nothing and just looks pretty from a distance (to me!) I like nines since my birthday is the 9th of the 9th and of course my name starts with a J.

I just think its fun to have a personalised plate.

My money my choice!

It also does not feel to me if my car is aging. A personalised plate has no age identifier that is actually linked to the car. In my mind when I see a 59 reg I think yes that is nearly two years old. When I see a 60 I know it is a year or so old. I look at mine and think nothing. It feels and looks as new as the day I got it. It will continue to do so until the day I sell it or the upcoming facelift makes it look old. :smirk:

I have a private reg (dateless) that came with my old car and its worth more than the transfer fee, better to keep it than giving it up.

I was bought mine for my 50th birthday.

It kind of makes Harry a bit more mine. :)

If I'd have remembered about this thread I'd have just added to this rather than start a new one.

Funny it was started by someone finding the same reg I now have.

Someone liked a post in it, which popped it back up for me. :)

Have my name on my 1.2Tsi LEZ 4450

Best £99 I have spent

Not for a Yeti, but a friend of mine used to have M55 CUM on his BMW M5, spaced so it said M5 5CUM. Got a few raised eyebrows.

Richards is now the best! YET 1 - did't realise the cost of it though - ****!!

Type YET1 into the "My Car Check" app and you'll see that it's is registered to a red YETI TDI CR 170.

Was there really any doubt that Richard was fibbing?

Not only does it look good, it's a hell of a lot more sensibly priced !!

It's a TDI CR 200 now, but that's close enough. :giggle:

Is that just a stage 1 remap Richard, or have you had your bits tweaked (so to speak) like Yeti_Man's 1.8 monster?

No, just a remap.

Difference is amazing with the torque increase too.

Has the kind of kick now that the mk1 vRS Fabia used to be known for, good fun.

Combined with the Haldex 4 it's seriously capable.

That's how I got round Bedford How Fast 0.01 seconds quicker than an EVO journalist in a mkII Fabia vRS. :D

I wonder if you have BO55 FOX? in your portfolio of reg numbers?

Nigel.

This was what I drove before we got into Yeti(s). :)

Great photo IMO and not a photoshop, the guy caught the lighting just right as I came through the undergrowth during a Land Rover trial.

Thinking about it having "boss" in your forum name is maybe a bit odd, but as I had the plate it seemed a good idea at the time.

Richard

Thank you....it all becomes clear....

And a great photo...the RR is still my favourite car but It won't fit in the garage and Mrs 33Q won't agree to it being altered.

Still I love my Yeti and it does look a bit like an RR1 (Velar)

Nigel

Must have been the "WHO CAN DRIVE THROUGH THE FOREST AND NOT GET DIRTY TYRES" trial.

When there was a "serious" waiting list in the first 6 months or more of being available, I was sorely tempted to buy C1 YET to put on mine!!
