Bit late with update...

 

Running a business, two children and a zillion PMs about the Fabias being broken (Not doing that again!) has left me a bit behind.

 

The APR downpipe turned out to not like the location and foul the 4x4 system.

So another downpipe has been sourced and that is now on, and fits!

 

This balls up by APR meant they put the car back together then had to take the gearbox out again...

Back brakes went on today and they are hoping to start the front brakes tomorrow.

 

If there are any further issues, that'll be where they are as I believe it's a kit for the VRS and the 1.8tsi Yeti doesn't run 312mm brakes as stock.

I'm hoping to pop in there tomorrow (if I have time!) to drop off the new Annapurna alloys with the Federal RSR track tyres on them.

 

Fingers crossed, it's looking OK so far for Combe...

All the engine bay work now completed, other than a few odds and ends to tidy up.

No, but I'll be fitting them as soon as I get the Yeti back.

 

They are about 4 or 5kg each with the rails, so it saves about 90-100kg.

Race Blue = Red calipers. (on a mk1 Fabia anyway...)

 

I ordered them in this colour so they didn't stand out too much.

The original idea was stealth... then I had it painted Race Blue.

Looks like its coming together at last Richard - congrats. Out of interest - what's your opinion on the brakes - quality wise? Be very interested to hear your opinion once bedded in also. After todays track day ive found my little Porsche setup handled everything brilliantly but I definitely need to sort the rears in the near future to improve the balance.

The quality appears top notch.

It'll be interesting to see how they perform.
