Brakes are on.

No problems at all.

I've not updated today but they are basically done, other than a bit of bolt tightening and checking which of two exhaust options they are doing.

The favoured option they say might involve higher EGTs, but don't quote me on that as it was a brief chat, so are checking that tomorrow before a test run and I collect on Thursday... all being well.

It'll still have the stock sensible tailpipe which is good.

Fallback plan, the R35 is in for it's 1200 mile optimisation on Friday... :giggle:

The day before Combe. (and it already has a Brisky sticker.)

Cutting it fine :D

Im sure it will be ready in time :) look forward to seeing it

All my projects run close to a deadline or way over it...

That's why I like to have a spare! ;):D

Very true :)

Been following with interest, compared to the Citigo this project is tiny :):D

If it is ready for the May meet ( 10th May)  would you be able to bring it along, as It is looking VERY likely we will be coming in our Yeti, & I would really like to have a ride - pretty please :)

It'll be ready for the May meet Steve.

Hoping it'll be done for the weekend.

Just waiting for the final bit to arrive tomorrow morning (exhaust) and get bolted on.

Then it'll be rolling/leaning round Combe on Saturday morning.

Looking forward to that now.

Waits for an entertaining Combe video next week :)

The part needed for the exhaust has not turned up today as promised.

So it's touch and go now...

It must turn up tomorrow morning to give Tuning Werks time to fit and test it.

To be fair to them, I've been getting two emails per day keeping me informed of developments so I know what is going on.

If I can't collect it before 4pm tomorrow then I'll be going to Combe in something else. :(

Yet1? Shame it's cutting it close. At least you know it will get some use at other track events :)

We were going to bring YET 1 (red) and BO55 FOX (blue) down, so two Yetis and use the blue one for all track time while loading all the parts from Jason in the red one.

If that's not to be I expect to bring YET 1 for the Brisky sessions and crack out the R35 for the other four sessions.

Handy it'll hit 1,200 miles and Nissan are doing it's optimisation at 8am tomorrow...

I'd rather be in the blue Yeti though.

Wow would have been a fleet :) I could imagine both yetis shooting around track traumatising the other tweaked cars :D

Also didn't realise you had another 4 sessions! It would have been great to see blue embarrass lots of other tuned cars throughout the day :)

That was the plan. :D

Brilliant.

You'll have to do at least one session in yet1 if blue isn't ready, just to tease them. And when you get the questions after you can say this is my "slow"'yeti :D

any news yet, Richard

Exhaust section arrived this morning.

They are under the car fitting it as I type.

Nothing is direct fit because it's a Yeti... it's a Golf system that has to be adapted.

Fingers crossed.

Then it's an updated map from APR and we should be good to go.

But at this stage everything is untested.  So it'll need a run to make sure everything is working as it should.

So castle combe is a perfect occasion ;)

And so it looks like Milltek have sold us a dummy.

The system that should fit and was aledgedly fitted to Yeti-Man's 1.8tsi by Shark is a completely different system that doesn't even clear the four wheel drive system.

Despite them claiming it's the correct one.

Not sure if it's tuner politics or a mistake, but I'm not impressed.

Ruuuuuuuuuuubbish!

Boooooo

That sucks. Can you use the standard exhaust for this weekend?

It doesn't fit the downpipe.

Tuning Werks are hammering away now and happy to stay late if it's possible to resolve.

Just means a long trip to Combe if we have to go via Croydon to collect at 8pm...

If it's done.

Oh ok, that makes sense. Fingers crossed
