BossFox hasn't visited the site in 2 years. 😞 A fact I easily established by hovering my mouse pointer over his profile.

Holy cow!!! (or other furry) that's a bit 'unusual'. Each to their own though and he seems to enjoy himself.

It seems to be quite a lifestyle choice, looking at this twitter feed. Quality costumes they all have.

I wonder if I can get a plastic duck costume?

I am not going to be looking at any Foxy ****ter feeds for fear of what the algorithm would think I am into! Not that I have an account but by "lifestyle choice" are you saying that he has become the equivalent of the attention seeking schoolkids that want to be given a litter tray and a saucer of warm milk at school?

Perhaps he is seeking a someone called Derek to put their hand where the sun doesn't shine
😯

Absolutely. Still came as a surprise how total his immersion in the furry thing is. Don't know much about the scene. Looks quite good fun :D Wonder how you keep them clean inside? his 'foxy' race-helmet is amazing

Are we talking about adult sized costumes here?

My mind is boggling!

yes, given the conversation is about Boss Fox in a costume...

Indeed, it was the photo that made me question that, I thought they might have been furry toys, it was difficult for my monocular vision to get a sense of perspective, I could see the aircon outside unit but not work out how far back it was.

It looked like a bed or shelf in an indulged childs bedroom but now I can see they are lifesize.

just a quick flick down his twitter... ya k ow what, he and his wife clearly have good fun with it, and it doesnt hurt anyone (other some low iq spiteful anti- everything morons' feelings) so plough on i say! maybe we all need to learn to let go in "unusual" ways.

Maybe some of us already do.

Much appreciated, but it probably comes across as willy waving a bit too much so I try to keep myself more to myself these days.  In fact I’ve cut right back on Facebook, Twitter etc… for that very reason.  Times are tough and posting your Bentley (still in the VW group!) just seems a bit, IDK, wrong.

Yes I’ve not been in here in years

Hey dude, long time no see etc.

As @skomaz says, it would be good to hear more from you, and a steer to the Britcar and 90s Superturisme would also be appreciated.

Life threw me a major curve ball in chronic kidney failure so I spend a bit of time on YouTube, and like to follow people I know and/or subjects I'm interested in.

What an awesome weapon the Yeti is/ was. I was chuffed to get a passenger ride at Castle Combe when it was only arond 500bhp :D  The best colour for a Yeti as well (originally ;) )  It'll be a shame to see it broken up. Any of those fine fellas at Jabba etc interested in it?
Never known anyone go so balls deep into projects like you. First the Fabia 4X4 project, they Yeti and the Citi GoGo which is still running IIRC.
I still see stuff of yours occasionally but all the best with your future endeavours, Richard

That's fair enough...   I just recon people on here would be genuinely interested as not judgemental etc.   (wellost of us anyway...)

Either way it's your choice that is to be respected.  Cheers!!

Hello all!

Thought I’d pop back in and give you an update…

Yes I’ve not been in here in years, had a hell of a job trying to get back into Briskoda previously and gave up.  But was searching for something else on my old iPad which seems to have remembered an old log in’s details so I can finally access Briskoda again…

After the engine fire plans were put in place to upgrade the Yeti.  No point spending more money to have it back the same.  A fully built more modern alloy block 2.5tsi was done that will take 800+bhp and a DSG box as it’s probably going to need to go flappy paddles at the power level.

The shell was stripped and rather than a roll hoop behind the front seats, a full motorsport compliant roll cage was welded in.  This is where we are now, but nothing has happened in the last few years.

ive been fortune enough to have the money to go and do other stuff.

In 2021 I raced a Nissan GT3 in Britcar.  In 2022, 23 and 24 I’ve been racing a few things including period 90s Super Touring Cars.  It’s a shame but the Yeti has fallen out of favour and sat there.

im now in a situation where it needs maybe 20k spending on it to finish it.  And quite simply I can’t justify that on a car that isn’t as good as the race cars, complete overkill on the road and unlikely to be used other than a couple of track days per year.

So I suspect this is the end for the project.  As I said it’s a shame, but I’ve been very fortunate to have a McLaren 765LT etc… over the last few years and dumping a ton of money into a 15 year old modified road car that will never be as good is just hard to justify,

I have looked at selling it complete with the brand new forged engine but I doubt there would be any takers at the 20k it would break to with the motorsport dash etc…. so it seems this journey is destined to end with a sell off of the parts and the shell being squashed.

And yes, in 2018 I went off, did the furry thing and got it mostly out of my system.  Nice to have a bit of variety in life!

If I had the funds and wasn't per-occupied trying to build my own Skoda track weapon, I'd be tempted to buy the yeti to keep the project alive.  I hope someone does pick it up though, it'd be a shame to see it on tesco shelves as tin cans.

I’d have the perfect doner engine for the Yeti shell too 😛 3.6 v6, not much power but it would sound so good

Shame to lose such a well known and popular car. Can you drop some of the upgrades just to get it reassembled at a more reasonable price?
