Everyone was under it at the end of the day. I did mention about forming a queue to have a look!

Brilliant video Richard and I only saw part of the craziness on that track, after looking at the video, glad I was on the Brisky session only.

Was that 2 or 4 wheels on the grass? And still got by. Fabulous!

Because: Yeti.

And for comparison, a rather more sensible Briskoda Session. :)

Methinks a lot more sensible!

Probably faster too, much less traffic & 't other drivers playing by the rules.

Two Q?s, just what are the rules re. overtaking /blocking & did you use all the gears part from 1st/2nd?

Much fun for you & fellow Briskodians, what next, a tweaked minibus perhaps, after the Citigogo of course........

Overtaking is on the opposite side as the pits, so right only.

And you are supposed to use your mirrors and let faster cars pass rather than block them.

Also, you are not suspposed to force people off by trying to outbrake them coming into a corner, especially on the chicanes which are in a no overtaking zone.

Although you can overtake in it by invitation of the driver in front.

****ing nuts, an amazing build and glad to see its going well and scaring other track users :)

Yes, a real testiment to the skill of JDR ( http://www.johndanbyracing.com/ ) when you consider it was only really finished a week ago and it's done two track days and seen some serious action.

And so far only a few small niggles after rebuilding two complete cars into one.

Thanks.

So if you are driving a slow car, keep to the left at Castle Combe, but keep to the right at Brands Hatch?

If a slower car is indicating, that's the invitation to pass?

'T is worse than driving on "pass either side" highways!

That video is brilliant, just amazingly fast :)

Just in awe at this, can't believe how silly it makes 300bhp hot hatches look, I'm guessing the cars are most probably not standard but there were 225 Leon curpra r, white Astra vxr, Audi s3 even the 135 bmw looked so slow :)

Over rev on the Evo maybe?

You seem to get quite a bit of a turbo/dump valve blow off in what I think is 4th gear? Don't notice it so much in the other gears?

Or it's my ears bleeding :)

Rev limiter at 7,000rpm. :)

"And we've left them all" absolutely brilliant :)

Castle Combe report. :D

What an absolutely amazing day.

The Yeti performed as well as could possible be expected.

I did five track sessions, one public, two brisky sensible ones and then an interesting public one followed by a final one that was a bit nuts.

I only got overtaken once, on the nuts one by something insanely fast that was quite happy going for gaps where they hardly exisited.

Jamie got a bit of a thrill ride in that session...

The public reaction to the Yeti on the day was mind boggling.

Once it had done a few sessions there was a swarm of people coming to have a look on the rare occasions it was parked up at the Brisky stand between track time.

It's nice that this build, which is a bit odd, is appreciated.

I suspect, partly because I chose completely the wrong car to start with if you want a fast track toy and partly because I've not seen any other fully working 2.5tfsi transfer yet.

Or maybe they just like seeing Evos and Scoobies overtaken by a soft roader. :D

At the end of the day it was built for fun. And it's a lot of fun.

No doubt more video and pictures will go up later or over the next few days, but here is the nutty session.

CAUTION: This does contain swearing!

I've never heard you so excitable! Insane, plenty of idiots :D

The car was fantastic! I couldn't quite describe it in words when we spoke as I was leaving!!! Nice to see you as always, this cars an achievement to be proud of, driven in your usual balls to the wall way which was great to watch!!

Still room for a bit of improvement. :)

With a bit of luck a forum member is going to give me some pointers and I'll be about two seconds faster.

Which is a huge difference on a lap time.

:tearsofjoy:

Looks like everyone had a fun day at the track day, that's what is all about, Richard that yeti can fly, you nailed them all, skill and experience outfoxed them. Happy track days.
