Yes, Dan Trent (who wrote that) was at Brands Hatch last November when a dozen of us from Briskoda went to a track day.

They were doing something on a Clio Cup car and watched me wizzing around.

It's in for a complete check over and new gear synchro after it's extensive four track days/two week shakedown.

To be honest I've been a bit busy at work (hobby to pay for... ) and the R32 Skyline needs more road miles.

Plus in four weeks the R34 might turn up and not long after that Dark Hero and myself are off on a jolly jaunt across Europe as part of a convoy of 30 GT-Rs.

In short, I'm too busy! :(

About five weeks to the Briskoda National at Rockingham.

It'll certainly be there giving passenger rides.

I can put some miles in the gtr if you get stuck

Look forward to seeing it in action again!

Forgot to mention that the firm doing my doors are going to do me a bonnet and tailgate too.

Quietly confident (which probably means it'll be wrong! ) that that will see the Yeti RS with a full tank of juice break under the 1,250kg mark...  100kg less than it is now.

 

Which was my weight goal.

In other news my trusty red Yeti showed me the bulb failure light today after 41,200 miles.  The first time it has ever indicated a bulb had blown!

Turned out it was one of the brake lights on the trailer...

I keep thinking about buying the 4wd system you have lying about for the Touran...

The Citigo will be a complete different animal. The gearbox is what will make the car come together as a whole.

Tomorrow I will probably start a new thread about the car when I get it (more pics!) and waffle about me attempting to go racing and we will see if I can actually drive or it's just good to turn up with fancy toys.

Should be quite a learning experience.

Will take a while to do the ARDS test, get the car ready and get it on track though.

 

Anyway, I'll leave that for tomorrow night.

A quick question if may Richard - I think I recall a conversation between us just over (?) a year or so ago about track time and how much you can do until you're classed as a 'semi' pro rather than just some nut job hooning around a track - this test that you're on about, if my memory is correct does that then mean that you can't just go for a 'blast' you've around a track but you'll get pipped against more like for likes?

 

Or am I completely making some fictitious conversation up  :S  AND.............
