Hi,

I have two keys for my 02 Fabia. One is fine. the other is just the blade and 'shell', that incorporates the immobliser transmitter thing. There is however, no remote locking bit, the meaty bit of the fob.

I don't use the remote central locking, so what I need is that part of the key that is missing, just to protect the trasmitter thing and have something to hold and attach to a keyring! What should I do?

eBay, plenty of them on there for around a tenner. OTOH a complete back end with electronics is still <£25 and can be coded by yourself (providing the alarm etc is working and your other key works properly).
