Well i havent yet picked the car up, have another 2 week wait until my licence is valid but here goes

Completely stock

Car is nice and straight, wheels are pristine and thr interior is still together, not too much bolster wear on drivers seat, car just really needs a bit of jase tlc....

All the badging on the car is completely shot (corroded as all skoda badges do)

Front mats are passed their best

White / cream carpet is a bit manky

So i've purchased this little lot to spruce her up

New front mats, 4 wheel centres, new wheel bolt caps, new style vrs badging for front and rear, new style octavia badge.... Going to badge the rear as per the new octy, vrs on the left octy on the right.

Ive also purchased (not shown) 8 clips for the roof as it had a roof rack on, skoda badges front and rear, bosch aero retro fit wipers, forge 007p dv, pipercross vis - although i may sell on not sure if i want to go down this route....

I want the car to be in as new condition

Going to keep the 007 im just unsure about the carbon pipercross vis... I think i may go panel filter instead! Dont really want to spoil the car

Oh honestly its doing my brain in.... Garage wont deliver car incase i drive it.... Pretty pathetic hardly going to bobby shafto myself with 2 weeks to go so its just a waiting game!!

if im honest? yes i love the octy. I prefer the look of the bora but the way the vRS drives is nice. I have had quite a few 1.8ts and this 1 deffo the best. and the looks that are given when people expect some jap motor to be going past as they turn round because of the sound of my induction and "dumping" when i come of the loud pedal is funny! to see an old estate skoda is crack up!

the plastics feel slightly "tackyer" than vw/audi but i can live with that.

Off-topic, I definitely need to sort my LCR splitter out. It was fitted "too low" (with too much of the locating lugs left in) so it doesn't sit right against the bumper and where I've caught it on the road/speedbumps/kerbs it's starting to flex even further down, looks a bit of a mess. I'm quite liking the look of Jan's car without one at all (compared to Jase's pic of the same car with the splitter on), it doesn't really fit the lines of the bumper on the vRS as the little recess in the bumper is a different width to the matching part of the splitter so I might just get it off altogether...

looks quite chav actually, plus the lcr splitter is the new laguna splitter, which cant be a good thing as i had one fitted to a corsa b back in the day

Yeah, a mate of mine has an LCR one on his Astra G (I think, it's an 03 plate originally and the model that most police forces down here use as boggo panda cars). Looks alright, but proof that they're getting everywhere!

seems i have some dodgy coilpacks so i've ordered some from awesome gti and also the ecs coilpack hold down clamps

i would go to dealers and get them under warranty but its such a faf, book the car in so someone can have a look, then a week order, stuff that just took the hit!
