Or a twin turbo Dave???

We have a 530 and a 535 at work!!! Both lovely cars

The best car I've ever driven would have to be the ford mustang GT convertible.

Now that is a nice car and very fast!

My small list :)

Ford Fiesta zetec s (07 plate) - first car did everything in it possibly my most loved car I have owned (bought January 2009)

Ford Fiesta ST (55) - Mistake and regretted it ever since, cost more handled worse and was in worse condition than my zetec s :( (bought August 2009)

Seat Ibiza Cupra tsi (10) - First brand new car! Loved the experience but wouldnt do it again due to the amount of money you lose, most favourite car that I have owned (bought April 2010)

Volvo S40 SE 2.0D (05) - Loss of job forced me to step down :( volvo was a good experience and very comfy cruiser but diesel engine had past it and wasnt too good on mpg :( (bought November 2011)

Skoda Octavia VRS (55) - Went for a mix of my last two cars (power and comfort and VAG) and the best value for money was the octavia, enjoying it so far and hopefully this car will last longer than a year :) (bought February 2012)

Which force was it from veryvrs ?????

I would never buy an ex police car or recommend one!!

Glad you were lucky though with yours

My fairly ordinary list:

1976 Triumph Dolomite 1300

1989 VW Passat 1.8 GL

1996 Rover 620ti (Awesome in a straight line esp. when you're 19 !!!!)

1996 SEAT Cordoba 1.6SX

2001 SEAT Toledo 1.9 TDI 110

2002 Mercedes CLK 200K

2003 BMW 320d ES

2007 Skoda Octavia vRS T-FSI Estate

In general I think each car got better as time went on. The Octy is the best so far, but intend to replace it in a year or so with a Superb Estate. Quite fancy a 530d estate though or if I could afford the petrol cost an E55 AMG estate or an M5 estate !!! Really liking the estates at the mo and with kids I wonder why people buy 4x4's or MPV's - what exactly is the point? An X5 for example is way less practical than my Octy !!

It was. In Hawaii. A few nice straight roads at night was immense! Think we spent about $100 dollars in a week on petrol. Worth it though!

My thoughts to peanut

You see the x5 or rr sport doing a million miles an hour and the price for one and the choice of estates at the moment is brilliant

I would also like an rs4 estate but I am looking forward to my vrs estate

I also looked at the superb 3.6 estate but I have to say looking at them side by side the Octavia looks better, saying that the twin tail pipes looked nice!!!

I thought I was lucky working in Cyprus for a few years but Hawaii is a dream!!!!!

I take it the hearts ones are you fav Sarah???

How do you rate the old Octavia against the new model??

Andy

Hi Andy,

Yeah - the heart ones are my Fav :)

Love the Octavias - The Mark 2 is certainly more roomy and IMHO feels a little more sturdy. Have had both petrol and diesel - hatch and estates. Manual and DSG and VRS's and L&K's.- so most combinations and engines

Probably have a slight preference for petrol and manual if I'm honest. Though to be fair had a Mark1 130bhp 1.9PD L@K estate, which was a cracking car - very responsive and economical and still going strong with 120K on the clock.

In terms of the Octy VRS - did love the Mark1, but the Mark 2 TSi is a great car. Interestingly was running the Seat Leon Cupra (180bhp) at the same time as the Octy1 Vrs - although obviously the same engine- have to say overall preferred the Octy. Found the Leon suspension a little hard for general day to day driving and the Octy was more economical. Though the seats in the Leon were more comfortable.

Not sure everyone would agree with me on this - but dare I say I think I prefered my Fabia VRS mark 1 to the Mark 2. Think the Mark 2 needs lowering and is a bit too boxy. Although I know the DSG is a cracking box - do wish that it was available in the manual.

Haven't had a Roomster or a Yeti - so not yet done the complete set

What made you leave the pug family??? Spud???

That is a list of them, and now a vrs? Did you not fancy a 406 ??

Andy

Forgotten two!

Belingo van 1.9 d

And an old seat Toledo tdi

(think theres a reason why I forgot them)

Interesting to see what others have driven - Nissan pulsar... Always fancied one after following one pre Rac testing - up over whinlatter pass - me in the modded mini following a gravel specced gtir piloted by one stig b.... Thought I'd snap at its heels - not quite! Left for dead :)

106 rallye - cool motor proper lightweight fizz box! Had a drive of a xsi (colleagues company car I was banned from touching) the amount of fluididity and pose was unbelievable - even more so from stepping from a fiat UNO turbo... All go and no poise!

Quite fancy one of the original 106 1300 rallyes as a toy - got the alfa 75 as a toy but had it for 2 years or do so getting a bit bored of it - may sell

Thanks Sarah

I guessed they were your fav, did you not fancy going into the seat family with a cupra?? I must admit I did look but the cracking write up a vrs gets and when I saw the boot!!!!

I did think about the yeti and the superb 3.6 but a black estate petrol sold it for me!!!

I can,t comment really about the fabria but I like the look of the new one, never driven either of them so can,t comment on their drive

Andy

Getting used to the size now haha :) used the volvo to get myself used to it I guess as I backed the volvo into a wall in a multi storey :( more careful in the skoda though :)

Andy

When the Ryton factory closed I was no longer able to get the employee/staff/family/relative discount.

There were some very good deals.

Now way was I going to pay normal dealer price !

I made a mistake, they were 306 DT not 307's, great fun and quite nippy.
