Supermoto you say :)

The only bike I ever loved and truly hated, blew up every other week, oil changes measured in hours, forward facing kick start so the starting procedure was fun, but it went, handled and wheelied like nothing else I'd owned

Hmmm. The fun though haha

Got an XR400 with 500km on the clock. All it needs is rejetting, a service and using. Some supermoto wheels too?

I've found that "find friends" has worked well for me, if I'm out and not answering my phone, Jane checks on Find Friends, and if I'm moving she knows I'm OK so doesn't worry as much.

Hahaha, yeah the Mrs used that before too, also useful to know when to put the dinner on.

I cant imagine your brother bothering with the 'flack'. Judging by previous posts haha.

:D Nope, too true.

Can she tell where you are?

I like the freedom. I can go anywhere, at any speed. I dont want my parents or anybody seeing where i am or worrying when i stop for too long.

I can see it now. I've stopped for a tea two sugars, but actually I've got my **** up some other girl, in SWMBO's head.

SWMBO's pretty good. Trusts me. But she doesnt need to know that much haha.

My Mrs has used it before now, I'm terrible for saying I'll be gone for half hour, getting carried away and returning 2 hours later so I think she just looks to see if I'm moving on it, if I am she knows A, I'm on the bike having fun or B, in a ambulance on the way to get put back together :D I'm not too fussed, I give her a run down where I'm off to most of the time anyway.

Ah man, so much fun. There seems to be a choice of either hardcore mental ones that need a bit more tlc to keep on the road or slightly more dulled ones but more reliable like the DRZ.

Ah. I never know his long im gonna be either. Which is part of the fun tbf. Not many people go out in their cars n know how long its gonna be till they get back. Its just not as fun.

The bike. Its soo much more fun, i get carried away.

I've been detailing again....

Just bought more leathers.... Such a gear whore....

Weise Tornado two piece set. used but in great nick £75 which is a fair

bit for me to spend. I have some Weise Daytona Summer gloves which I bought brand

new and were the same price as the leathers so I guess that puts it into perspective.

I will have to think about selling some stuff on, I have an entire wardrobe full of bike gear

now inc 8 pairs of gloves.

You n bike gear is like a women with handbags.

But i do have a nice leather jacket now. SWMBO bought it a month or so ago but I've only just got it. Apparently its christmas or some ****.

That's exactly how I get away with it.

Last night the wife said 'Why do you need 8 pairs of gloves?' so I replied

'Okay I'll get rid of two pairs then. You'd best go and find your six favourite pairs of shoes

so we can sell all the other ones...' I then said, 'Anyway, I make my living with my hands so having

a load of decent gloves is just looking after my moneymakers, but I'll ride without them if you prefer?'

Then she shut up knowing it was an argument she couldn't win. I have this policy of never arguing

with the wife unless I'm sure I'll be the victor. It's a great strategy.

Ahaha. Love it mate.

You see. The thing is, and its the same with her and her shoes. You can have as many decent pairs as you like, but you can only wear one pair at once! Aha ;).

came across this video, had forgotten about the Y2K....

I remember the Y2k from this :)

A movie that set motorcycling back 20 years, and yes, I actually paid to watch it and was howling all the way through :)

from 3:47, it's epic :) :) :) :)

Just dug out my copy and tried to get my lad to watch it.

He refused.

Wise beyond his years that boy

Was it just me that went out to their bike and wished it a happy Christmas?  :giggle:

Ahaha. I think it might be!

I'll be going in the garage n having a gorp at it later though. I like doing that.

I was hoping to get the chance to go have a fiddle but doubt I will now, gotta get read to go to the inlaws.

Pasta n pizza? Haha. Meh. Sounds good to me! Aha.

Na if it was pizza is be in my element :D

Playing silly beggars with the ghost S HD today. Great bit of kit.

More later.... Happy Christmas.

Youve been out on the bike today?

Lucky you!

Im well over the limit to even think about it lol

Home, bit smashed to even go near the bike, tbh I could just about be trusted to tell the mrs how far back to reverse the car :D

I've been in two minds about the maintenance on the CB, get a dealer or indi to do it or to DIY it. I'm decided after watching a video of a CB oil change I'm going to DIY it, looked easy as, plus the parts of a oil and filter can be had for < £40. Going to do it once the Fireblade (mates) is back in once piece and I've rearranged the garage. I'm sure if I keep receipts for everything and write in the book each time I service it it'll not knock its value too much.

Haha good effort!

Yeah do it yourself mate. I've done all my bikes minor services myself. I'll let the shop do the valves n that though.

Main thing is the oil isnt it. N thats literally just emptying and putting fresh in, plus a new filter (i do it every time, just because i might aswel).

Its really not difficult. Especially since the CB is naked. The hardest part with most bikes seems to be juggling the fairing. You skip that step haha.

Yeah exactly, it's literally the sump bolt, drain, filter cover, filter itself then reverse, sorted. Longest part will be riding/running the thing to warm the oil a bit :D Bit of satisfaction and knowing the jobs done properly will be a bonus to the money saved. Might keep a tally and compare to how much my mate spends at honda :D

Yeah (: 15 minute job once youve done it a few times ;).

Aha yeah! Doesnt cost alot.

Things get a little more involved when you start doing the plugs. Theyre sometimes a lot more buried than youd think possible.

Air filters an easy one though. Defo worth a blow out

Yeah I was amazed at how easy it was to get to the filter on my brothers bike, if the CB is the same then I'll chuck one in for the sake of a couple of quid.
