I wouldnt blame ya! Haha.

Yeah not having a centre stand is a pain. I thought about buying an abba stand for the SV. It was a pain even cleaning with just a side stand. One sides brill, the other is a pain to get to haha.

Ahh get it in the house. I could if i could fit it in haha

Bike taken for a spin, was nice just to get out for a hour or so but too cold for any real fun.

Checking the oil level is a royal pain in the arse with a sight glass instead of a dipstick. God knows how anyone manages it on their own, I had to get the mrs to help by holding the bike level, a slight lean either way totally skews the reading too. I am going to invest in an ABBA stand next month, I think I'm going to do the plugs/brake fluid/coolant too while I'm doing the oil and filters.

Just remember that you have to have both wheels on the floor to check the oil, I usually use the ABBA to make sure the bike is upright, but do not lift the bike fully on to it, or I check the oil when the bike is on the ramp :D

I also have to remember which sight glass to use too

Oh fml yeah I ddint think of that damn, I could maybe lift the front wheel to get the bike level? Or just have to do it each time my mate comes round with his blade and we can help each other I guess lol.

Whats that? Clear engine cover?

Yes, you could put a wood packer under the front wheel.

It's a clear clutch cover with and billet clutch pressure plate.

I like adding little things to the Xtra, making it even more of a one off, have just fitted a pair of "home made" indicator lenses to the front indicators.

What even is that? Cagiva does it say? Not seen one of those before

Tbh. I've given up checking the oil on the vfr. Every time I do its not moved. It just doesnt seem to use a drop.

Only do it after an oil change now

It's a Cagiva Xtra Raptor, deigned around the TL1000 engine by Miguel Angel Galluzzi, the same guy who designed the Ducati Monster, the Xtra is a limited edition version of the V-Raptor, there were only 1000 made, mine was a Christmas present from SWMBO a few years back.

Oh brill.

Wont go far wrong with a TL thou engine eh. Theyre good arent they. Cant beat a big v twin IMO.

Got different design rear shock than the TL i hope? ;)

Wow, different. Just googled it, looks like a cross between a Monster, TL & Gilera DNA :D At least you're in no danger of parking next to another.

I get used to people coming over and having a look round, then saying, thats great, what is it?

Couple of years back I stopped off at our local on my way home, as I'm going in to get a "shandy" saw a guy start looking the bike over, was "bracing" myself for the question as I came back, he smiled and said..........

I've just bought one of these :S

We got chatting, he lives in the same village!!!!

Typical! What are the chances!

No way! My mate has a HRC 'blade and banged on about how rare they were etc etc, when we went to the local bike cafe there was another sat there :D

Whats it like to ride? Upright or more sports bike position?

It's a mid-position, and not having a screen it's a licence keeper, if it hurts you're going too fast, I often do some fairly big days on it, and some big weeks (leave home on Fri evening, return a week on Sat with 2,400 miles done).

Only thing I've done for comfort is have gel pads fitted into the seat.

Been off this thread for a while just had a monster catch up!!! Glad it's still going over the winter!

The mille also has a sight glass, a tube tucked up in the fairing which has to be check whilst running just to add another element to it!! FFS

Wrote off to performance bikes after a mate featured on the 360* garage hopefully my bike will be in the "your bikes" section and possibly my garage in an up comming 360 garage!! Quite pleased with that

A tube tucked up the fairing? Whats that doin?

I kid you not its hidding inside the fairing and its a long thin tube which it's not quite see through!!! Almost impossible to see, quality bit of design that

I want one...

Sharks aftermarket bluetooth for their lids is pretty good but (I have a shark lid)

I'll be buying a Scala for my lid, I want a G9 double set so I can talk to the Mrs on the back

and also as a helmet to helmet intercom while she is training on her own bike and ultimately with a range

of about a mile when we are riding out together we can stay in touch. It will also talk to my Garmin,

and my phone.
