  • Falken 452s every time for me, they wear well and were around 140 for the pair from camskill

  • Get them mate if thats all you can afford, I have nearly always used the cheap ones. Never had any trouble at all! Ditchfinders only if you drive like a T**T when the conditions dictate otherwise. I

my mates dad has them on his nissan and thinks they are brill and they grip well i have falkens on mine tho and i like them cheap too

'You get what you pay for'

They are a budget brand and nothing more.

Tried and failed did you babs ??? :(

Its happend at the worse bloody time

Its a altea 2.0tdi sport not my octy but still......

Hmmm

Not quite that bad! Decent enough in the dry, but not very progressive. Dangerous in the wet. Lethal in damp/greasy conditions.

my car came with Nankangs...

"alright" on dry surfaces, but pretty bad in the wet

i would not recommend them

Ran Nankang ultrasport NS2's on my Volvo (205/50/r16) a few times and found them to be good bang for my buck. I'll always prefer Pirelli P-zeros, but Nankangs were something like half the price last time I priced them up.

I used them on my Mk2 Golf as for a full set it was just over £100.

For the money they weren't awful, but in the wet they were massively crap. Certainly not worth trying them on a big car.

I ran Nankang NS2's on my 18" wheels with 225/40/18 and they were great in dry and not so good in wet.

However a money was short this time round I had to get a full set of 4 for my 17" rims. Got Nankang NS2's 225/45/17 and these are very good in dry and actually extremely good in wet. I was very suprised....

For some reason better with a 45 profile than 40..??

I ran Cooper Xeons on me old car. they are pretty good, and good enough value, not bargain bucket, but not mad money.

My tyre guy gave me a discount, E45 per tyre, normally E55ish per tyre iirc. I liked em, good in the dry and wet.

"the mrs reeeealy dislike spending money on cars lol"

Irony that she's with you Lloyd ;-)

I had some NS2's on my Vectra a few years ago, they came with the 17"s I bought for it. In the dry they were ok, but in damp/wet weather they were shocking.

I wont be using Falkens again neither, have used 452 on the Octy and I put 912 on the GF Hyundai Coupe and they are noisy and tramline same as the ones on the octy even tho they grip quite well.

The Fabia has Evo 12's on atm but will be getting the cheapest ones next seen as they just trundle up n down the Mway, also they are quite noisy too. prob go for Mayrun type things as the MR800 I had on the second set of R32 reps came with them on and I liked them a lot, think they are sunny ones the same too.

I find they last a long time too but as said not good in the wet but again if you drive to the conditions then you wont have a problem.

bil

I`ve got them on now my 18" RS4`s as they came with them, not too bad in the dry, but very poor in the wet, I would`nt recommend them. Waiting for mine to wear so I can go back to Falken FK452`s ;)

that second one down looks like an accellera?

they are really bad in the wet lol, had them on the Coupe before swapping them for Falkens, really liked them in the dry tho and the noise didnt seem too bad.

them top ones look a bit like the Evo 12's I got on mine, ventus v12 iirc?
