Just out of interest is the stuff on the track cement to soak petrol / oil up ?

no idea, it sure kicked up some and was a bit scary driving foot down into a cloud of something you can't see through........

and no, not because I was following PastyBoy.

White cloud - cement dust

Black cloud - following me

Cement dust is super absorbent so they use it to soak up oil on the track - such as that laid down by the Evo that went pop

Yeah it was cement to soak up oil, I was chatting to one of the marshals while we waited! I was the first to hit it bang on an all I saw in my rear view was a huge white cloud!!

I've just watched Karl's video and I can but apologise for the amount of black stuff that must be stuck to the front of his car now!

Though I must admit although was smoking a bit you going very well.

Good to see my car on track from another car, all be it brief but i am on the rear view camera of BossFox camera for a few more seconds than the front.

ok so i've not done any heavy duty checking just selceted the better pictures of what is (hopefully) everyone

Ali was kind enough to accept my requst for a passenger lap in his Nissan and all i can say is holy hell.

It's certainly a raw experience but jesus christ doesn't it shift.

Al is also pretty handy behind the wheel catching opposite lock everywhere to cancel out the powerslides. Crazy.

Shame its the first track work its done in 3 years and the tyres were dead as well as the geometry being "all over the place" so he bailed after 1 session.

The stand post track session and i didn't get chance to get any snaps in the morning nor snaps of everyones cars in the afternoon

Wanted to say thanks to Jason for organising another good event, plus say thanks to everyone on track for letting me bring the Nissan and not get worried they were on track with a nutter.

There were some impressive differences in closing speeds, but with sensible driving I hope everyone had a good time. I certainly did.

Either a longer exposure or a short/longer depth of field and then pan with the car.

The body of the car stays more constant as you pan through the frame while the background & wheels blur up
