Castle Combe Summer Action Day 8th Sept 2012! Brisky stand & track!

Featured Replies

Sorry for the wobbly footage, need to get that sorted for next time and a new camera too I think!

Simon, I like the way your passenger waves his hand and looks at you at 2.22 when I am in front in the GT-R, same kind of action as in April when I was in the Yeti in front (temporarily). :D

Here's mine. Nothing special but after watching my video back and others I can see where I need to improve. It's addictive. Looking into doing the MGZR and Formula Ford experience down in Pembrey soon. Been meaning to do it for ages plus it will get me more track experience and be fun too.

Had my best lap after the 7 minute mark which was a 1:36.9 so almost 4 secs faster than last time.

Great pics!!! My mate would like to know if you have any of his Lexus on our session, loving the ones of my all black octy, so is the Mrs, thanks.

Nice vid Martyn, as you say it's a handy way to compare driving styles, lines and how much of the track you can use at different points.

Good grief I didn't half come flying out of the pits!

Any more Fabia SE pics for me and Karl?

I know - I've ribbed him about that this afternoon :D

I've just joined and followed different threads since (this one in full) and I must say I am well impressed by organisation, photos, camcorder footage and driving skills of drivers as well as the look of their cars! Don't get me wrong, not trying to score brownie points here but genuinely impressed and hoping for some part of that action when my vRS arrives! Great read and O wish I was there!

P.S. If you do not mind little Lupo closing up the rear I'd love to come to next event :)

These Castle Combe days are usually in April and September, so you have time to get the Skoda. :)

Would be good to get some Citigo's, Superb's, Roomster's and Yeti's on the next one and i think we were even missing Mk2 Octavia's and Mk2 Fabia's, apart from the white vRS estate.

Still, nice to be out on track with a majority of Briskoda members.

I'm aiming to bring the Citygo next time, so you'll have to find another volunteer with a Yeti. :)

I was impressed with the Yeti last time though.

Some pictures I got... (or were taken on my camera... Thanks Joe) :)

Ali was kind enough to accept my requst for a passenger lap in his Nissan and all i can say is holy hell.

It's certainly a raw experience but jesus christ doesn't it shift.

Al is also pretty handy behind the wheel catching opposite lock everywhere to cancel out the powerslides. Crazy.

Shame its the first track work its done in 3 years and the tyres were dead as well as the geometry being "all over the place" so he bailed after 1 session.

ally car is unreal and he can drive proper

the work he has done on that is second to none i would love to go out with him in that lucky git.

Depending on what you do to it, i might not get overtaken this time!! :D

Don't want to pee on your party I'd definitely put money on you getting monstered by a citygo, In fact I'd put money on me getting hammered by one.

ok so having now been through and catalogued all the Pasty pictures i'm struggling to match a few final cars/pictures to users

Black Fabia - YZH

Silver mk1 Octy - EOY

Black mk1 Octy Estate

Black mk1 Octy Hatch - standard wheels

Black mk1 Octy Hatch - Silver BSS

Black mk1 Octy Hatch - Grey BBS

Although that said i guess it doesnt really matter too much...

II do also have pictures of most non-Skoda stuff that featured - the Lexus definitely. I'll get them posted when i get home.

Fancy bringing a Skoda to Combe and not being on the Briskoda stand! :p

Black Mk 1 octy with silver BBS wheels is mine. Regards Pete (group1rs)

There were quite a lot of Skodas not on the Brisky stand. They've either never found us or are happy on whatever forum they are on currently.

Hi Pete, sorry I didn't catch up with you much on the day, you probably noticed I had my hands full trying to sort the car and field loads of questions about it at the same time. Hope you had a good one on track and hopefully catch up at the next Maidstone meet.

Cheers

Mike
