Noisy brakes but pads are fine.

Featured Replies

Hi, I just acquired a 2008 Roomster with only 8k miles on the clock (previous owner was elderly and probably only took it to the shops). The car feels like new but the brakes make a slight rubbing noise when coming to a halt. I have checked the pads and there is plenty of life left it them (as expected). On a long run to Cornwall couple of weekends ago they seemed to get quieter. I dont commute to work so the car mostly sits outside the house or do occasional short trips. Given the light usage so far might they just need wearing in?

surface rust on the discs? Happens with mine esp. after rain.

Probably rust... I had the same thing on mine, although mine had so much rust that i just got new discs, since they were rather worn down anyways
