Hi all,

Not sure whether these have been covered elsewhere, I did search and found some info, but wanted to check a few things.

Now, I have and aftemarket Vag-Com Lead, as I just wanted to check if I had any codes following my purchase of a cheap Cat-C Fabia 1.9TDi Comfort Estate, Y-Reg.

I've got the following codes form VCDS Lite

Okay so 17664 - I've ordered a new Temperature sensor as my gauge was intermittent at best. I've also been experiencing some high revving on start-up which, from my searches here, might be related (fingers crossed).

16955 - The brake lights seemed to stay on when I go the car, unless I lifted the pedal with my toes. I took the switch out and it had a damaged clip, so was moving around. I've replaced this and it's now working fine.

17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer. This makes sense. I recently installed an aftermarket wireless central locking kit, with flip keys. I swapped my immo chip from my ain key into the flip key and held it in with hot-glue. This worked fine till I dropped the key and the chip came loose. I've now secured it with 'Grip fill' so it's not going anywhere and it works fine.

65535 - Oh dear, from my search this looks like it could be serious. I can check the cables for damage, clean connections/fuses etc, but does this mean replacing the controller or just the front sensor?

Have I missed anything with any of these? or is it just the ABS system that I should concentrate on?

Oh, and my airbag light is on permamnently, I've managed to connect to the controller (15) and there are no faults and both drivers and passengers show as enabled. Could this be on from the ABS Issue? or have I got another serious issue here?

Probably far to late, but that one should work. Just follow the guide when installing so as not to break the new one.
