Discount rolling road

Featured Replies

I have a 10 plate VRS petrol estate and have just had it on the roling road at QS tuning in Haywards Heath West Sussex. I was pleasantly surprised that it came out at 222bhp.

Since the visit I have been offered a group discount for a day for 10 cars at 50 cash per car. It is a four wheel drive rolling road and the chap Kim will do it for any VAG car. Normally it is 70 plus vat.

If you are interetsted can you PM me or reply.

This is the rolling road

If your car is standard I would question the accuracy of the rolling road. In my experience VAG cars are usually bang on the manufacturer's official figure.

Guess that's a tsi

Yes, I don't think so it is top notch kit being used, but possible. It is used on all types of high performance audi cars too and no - one has complained?

Might be top notch kit but still needs to be operated properly. They tell people what they want to hear. I'm always dubious of RR figures unless they are plus or minus a few bhp from the manufacturers stated figure. Otherwise only useful for measuring the increase over standard from mods but that's only any good with back to back runs, same RR, same conditions, same operator etc.

He did 4 runs and they were all very similar ?

In fairness it seems unlikely (but not impossible) that a car would be up 20bhp (10%)

That said, when mine was tested the bloke said that within the VAG group VWs and Audis tend to be very close to quoted figures whereas seats and skodas tend to be a fair bit over.

For what its worth here was mine:
