I was not happy this morning, i spent the night at my mates and parked on the road outside his house.

i dicovered on the way home that some idiot had crashed into my car in the middle of the night and now i have to pick up the peices and pay myself as he just drove off (my excess is high so there is no point claiming)

i had to drive back from wales with the arch rubbing on the tyre everytime i went over a bump...not good

looks like its not moved the wing, shut lines to the door look ok, has it moved the bonnet at all? dont think it has by the look of it, so should just be a bolt on/off wing job, and a new front bumper sadly by the look of it.

Take it there is no damage to the front track, ie wheel, driveshaft/tie rod etc?

nope just cosmetic damage the bonnet hasnt moved nor has the wing im just wondering how much it will set me back tbh

If the bonnet was moved ,you can realign it from the hinges.The wings are not that difficult to ajust.I've done it by miseft after a drunk cyclist hit me.

i'm not scaring him, i am stating a fact, so we can work out what exactly needs to be done.

I asked him to check the bonnet to wing gap not to see if the bonnet has moved but to see how much the wing has moved.

As i said, wing, plus bumper, a couple of hundred in prep and paint.

depends who you use though, big body shops will quote a lot, better to try a local specialist, dont forget thats plus parts

Same here some Pratt ran into the side of a brand new loan car, hit and run don't mean uninsured driver apparently so had excess to pay and on my insurance record ffs

Have you been around to see the neighbours, see if anyone saw, heard or even recorded anything. I would drive around the area and see who had a damaged car. If it was on a public road that is considered to be a hit and run.

I'm a big believer in Karma and they will get their payback somehow. Maybe their wife is really ugly, maybe they don't have any friends, perhaps they hate their life? Whatever, they deserve a beating with a big stick, but life will probably do that to them anyway. At least you're not them and you'd do the right thing and leave your details. Doesn't help you at the moment, but it helps me through these little moments in life.

i know its gutting i was halfway home before i noticed as i heard it rubbing, as i was in a rush i didnt look around the car haha,

my mate knocked on some doors(its a student neighbourhood) but no-one had any clues and not bin day all i know is i went over the road at 3am and it was fine then

just need a front bumper now thankfully i know a mate whos mate works at a body shop and a guy on here has a silver front wing

Iam sure if you have a hunt around for a mint wing the same colour the rest will all look fine. Half an hour job to bolt that one off and the new one on. Sorted.
