PID Bluetooth Compatibility

Featured Replies

Just what I was looking for, thanx.

Unfortunately it looks like it will cost my daughter a new phone as well :(

Small price I think.

Can you link a music playing device to this and control it from the PID?

Bit disappointed the Citigo/Up doesn't have MDI.

Yes you can. The radio/CD player has a 3.5 aux socket on the front

Going to the launch today.

Lots of good features including the bluetooth but the Assisted Braking sounds an absolute must.

Engines sounds absolute dogs with its torque figures ie both 60 and 75hp variants.

The 75 hp one does not make any different torque over the 60 hp until you have it wound up to over 4K revs, hmmm.

Need a little 3 cylinder turbo TSI in there and a proper DSG box but worth a look for city running. Safe and brilliant to park I imagine.

Please post your thoughts on the PID computer thingey -I want to see what it can do with relation to the drive computer -extra gauges etc: the satnav bit speaks for itself,.

A VRS version might be fun (expensive I'm sure) but it's a brilliant little car as it is -hence I've ordered one along with a lot of others here.

I had a drive in one on Wednesday.

I found the PID very intuitive to use.

It controls all sorts of stuff.

Touch screen

Radio, with usual station name and also the title of the song playing plus full control.

CD info the same as any other CD player, again with full control

MP3 player, you can either plug in your MP3 via the 3.5mm aux socket or, according to the sales guy, you can load music onto a microSD card and plug that into the right hand side of the PID.

Perhaps Preston Motors can confirm that?

The trip computer displays all it's info at once on one page but is very easy to see.

You can display 2 gauges at once and can select what each gauge displays separately.

Unfortunately I can't remember any more than rev counter, water temp and oil temp. I'm sure there were more?

For me, as my daughter is buying the car, the important stuff are satnav, Bluetooth and mp3 compatibility.

You know what teenagers are like.

It's going to be my other half's car. She has to do some driving around for work - I was wondering if it would have extra features for logging miles etc - a lot of the features will be for novelty I'm sure -but nice to have them all the same

Cheers CFB, I think you covered it.

Trip wise on the PID it is the same as the normal trip computer, range, consumption etc.

SD card slot from what i remember (awaiting delivery of our one) was on the right hand side or if your MP3 player/Phone is Bluetooth compatible will work that way as well.

Hey folks found a link for the owner's manual for the VW up! Maps and More - I can't imagine that the Skoda version is much different

It logs the miles you've covered, and the amount of time you've been driving. Lovely lovely graphics - I think that other manufacturers are going to need to follow Skoda/VW/Seat's example here and make similar things standard on all cars. Surprising that nobody has thought of it before - works so well. Although having said that, the "average" MPG was changing all the time as I was driving along, almost like it was giving me instantaneous MPG.

I think that may be due to the car not having many miles on the clock?

My yeti showed the same habit after I reset the computer.

It took a tankful to sort itself out.

It seems the only difference is that the VW version has Think Blue Trainer for monitoring economy etc.
