Where's the best place to buy a crash helmet from? Any particular make/model worth getting?

If it's motorsport, I'd stick to an open face one. You'll get hot enough as it is.

Mine came from AAT as well. Was actually good because I got the wrong size, but Erik came out and exchangedit for me the day before Brunters 2004.

Yep AAT....IIRC most people went the a Sparco Jet open faced...cost

got mine fitted at demon tweeks for 57 quid.there is also the added bonus of the fact that the lady that does it is a hotty.sparco open faced jobby ,fits like a glove.did i mention the hotty?

I don't know if theres a difference between motorbike & car helmuts but Lidl are selling an open and a closed face type in Ireland http://www.lidl.ie/ie/index.nsf/pages/c.o.oow.20050425.index .

Motor bike helmet don't have to meet fire regs where as car ones do....not sure if there are any other regs.
