Mis-fire Fabia 1.4 16v

Featured Replies

hi to all.

I previously posted on here in regards to my 1.4 Fabia 16v.

Im wondering if anybody can help as i have further done some investigations.

I have had the ECU Checked at a cost of £80. Its passed all test no probz.

Im now experiencing the car beginning to 'shake' as soon as its started. the engine management light is on. it drivers fine. once the engine is hot, the engine management light flashes and the car mis-fires on cylinder 4.

on there a common wiring fault at all on this model? it has only done 44k and i really do not want to resort to opening the head as it could still be a needle in a haystack.

any help... Please?

coil pack sounds as likely to me than anything else

all coil's have been replaced with brand new Beru ones. all plugs have been replaced with brand new bosch super plus ones.

any other ideas?

only other thing i can think with all other things done is get head checked

ok. thanks for the quick reply's by the way :)

when you say...get the head checked... what exactly would be needed to be done? sorry if I'm asking something a little obviously.

Compression test has been done. injectors have been checked.

Im stuck!!

mmm strange. coolant temp sensor? clutching at straws but temp is a factor
