Fabia 2 cruise control BEA 700 120

Featured Replies

Hi does any one know were it is possible to get a cruise control set up with trip computer similar to the 2009 part BEA 700 120, Idealing in Northern Ireland, as local dealerships cant get it and fitted a normal cruise control which meant I lost my trip computer, know they are saying skodia Uk have informed them that the cruise control they fitted to my car should not work, it does and there never was a cruise control with trip option on a fabia 2 , any info or suggestions?

The kit was available but for some reason was discontinued.

You now need to buy the stalk separately and make a loom up. However if yours is now working you just need a switch and sell your other back on.

Ok what stick and who can make a loom and fit it?

Have they fitted it for you currently but without the trip controls?

they fitted the model for use without trip computer(bea700110), but they still have my original stalk unit which had the trip computer

So the wiring is all there now, all you need to do is get a new stalk for a Fabia with cruise control and swap it over.

will they have left the original trip wiring in place as well, and which stalk part would i need

Yeah the trip wiring will be there.

Not sure on part number exactly, your local dealer can look it up.

but the dealer is saying they cant do a stalk with both cruise control and the trip computer and that according to skoda uk the current change they have fitted should not work

Some Fabias need convenience control unit change, check with your dealer first

but part of my problem is the dealer is saying its now not possible and that my car can not have both cruise control and trip computer, my fabia is an early 2010 model based on registration date,

The problem is they don't do a kit for it anymore

The only difference in the kit is the switch. Seeing as your car already had the computer all it's wiring is still there. All they do is add a cruise control loom to it. If you fit the CC switch for a car with trip computer it will work.

funny that they say they dont do that part, that is the query I asked what would they do if an existing car with that unit had broken how would they replace it and I got the reply that the CC and trip option was never fitted to my car type in 2010
