Hey all, as a few of you might know my turbo went pop before so going the hybrid route. When my turbo went it took my txautosport cooler with it so i have now bought a larger cooler, so now i have the fun of fitting it and thought i would get a thread going of my ups and downs.

The cooler is a mishimoto wich i know a few people with them in the past and never had a problem so thought i would use them and they have lift time warrenty.

Here is what im working with

Good luck buddy. Its hard at times but once its done its very rewarding :)

I've been told by people that putting a bigger cooler on slows down the car? i dont know if this is true or not tho. Mines been mounted for ages just never got round to tackling the piping up. Thinking about getting up on the ramp on saturday...

Well i have one that is a reasonable bit bigger than the one pictured on the right and im running 208 bhp

It wont slow it down as such but might create abit more lag but hopefully when i have it live mapped it will all run spot on

Not happy with my numberplate i think i need a sticker one made up.

Just need to order 3 pipe and its all ready to be plumbed in to my new hybrid when it gets fitted :)

Great job - It certainly helps when you can weld!

Crash bar? Without one it's going to suffer even in the odd supermarket swipe.

+1

Lets hope a that doesnt happen then. Wounderd to cut it to suit or not but thought what is the point as it will weaken so much it might aswell not be there.

Looks awesome mate! Seen a few Fabias running no crash bars now so your not the first :)

Looking good fella, cooler seem's to fill it nicely although I would look into some form of bracing across the front section to help out.

Would look even better with a Cupra Splitter on aswell.

I'd be tempted to get yourself a JDM Import sized number plate, it's what I will be going for when I go big mouth next year.

whats the dimensions on the jdm plate do you know. the one i have is a 3/4 size plate used on caterhams and the likes.

I'm not entirely sure pal, I can ask my mate who's car is the above photo to find out, it's smaller but not that much smaller really, just the right size I reckon

I will see round my way first cheers mate and im off down castle combe show tomorrow so will see if i can get any offers there.

Right got details off my mate plate is 330x110mm in size

Mine is 390x85. 110 would be pushing it height wise i think when i just measured.

If you ever revisit the crash bar... An Ibiza or Polo one is likely to fit with less trauma than a Fabia one.

ISTR seeing at least one Fabia with a non-standard crash bar. Think it was in one of the seatsport fitting threads.

sticker number plates off ebay are the way forward!! only thing is they are legal size, font, colour, reflective and all that poop but are not legal to sell in the uk... my last 2 have came from the isle of man.. only found this out as a local sticker dude got really arsey with me when i asked him to make me one as he makes normal number plates and stickers so thought he could combine the 2! still comes up on anpr and passes mot so who cares!
