  • That doesn't surprise me. 110mph indicated is in reality probably about 100mph true speed. And the 60PS will comfortably do a true 90mph on the flat without straining too much.

  • Not with the stereo yours has in it no!

  • I did a quick test and it works, but it is dependent on the surface grip, there is not much of a buffer in the activation of the system. Tried in the work depot on a sheet and it did a sharp brake wi

180k/h is ~ 110mph, not bad for a little town car :) I have a feeling once BossFox' is done, it should be a tad faster ;)

Was it a brand new car with only 14 km at the start of the filming and sitting static fastened on a rolling road,

with an indicator put on for effect?

(just on my second hand, not stop watch.)

29 - 30 km 27s,

30 - 31 km 23s,

31 - 32 km 22s

Better that the brand new fiesta popular I rented years ago, 80ish with the dash shaking itself to bits lol

Didn't think the auto was released yet, I reckon that it was doing 95, remember the faster you go the more the speedo is out lol

Defo on a rolling road not enough variable light and shaking lol

Just seen it on YouTube - quite impressive. Done on a rolling road is very plausible - and legal!

Really liked the 3-pot warble.

Fuel consumption figures are pretty respectable @ 8L/km = 35mpg at indicated 180kph/112mph, better than the overall from my Yeti but perhaps not representative if done on a RR.

As I thought after I posted it, is it on a rolling road?

Nice engine note, hope mine sounds as good, It'll be a 75ps though.

No way I'm taking it up to those speeds  I might just stretch it's legs occasionally :giggle:

Mick

if this is faked why do shadows appear on the reflection in the glass? also the vibrations seem to be random, which i dont think would occur on a rolling road, but ive only had 1 of my cars on a rolling road, so im no expert =)

Personally I don't think it is faked, they probably just found a nice long downhill stretch of road...

Yup. Most cars will do more than their rated top speed if you find a nice downhill stretch. I once just managed to touch triple figures in a Polo Fox Coupe 1.0 45hp 4 speed on a down hill section. :giggle:

As long as it does 80/90 and doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart then i'm happy :), there is a loat of road noise on these i noticed though, doubt i'll hear it when the radio is on though ;)

I haven't taken mine above 75 mph yet, but it's actually very good at cruising on the motorway - about 3,000 revs at 70 mph.

No arch liners, minimal carpet and sound deadening, but hey it's a city car.

cant be as bad as the N reg micra i was sporting that was real scary on the motorway lol, i will be using it for a lot of milage, i do believe it has good comfort and build quality like skoda standards

Does the Citygo not get VAG's '3-flash' comfort indicators then or does this driver just not know about them!?

Yes, the Citigo has those for sure.

Yes, it definitely does! It's my third Skoda and it was one of the first things i checked on the test drive!

Another Skoda "classic" is the parking ticket holder on the windscreen, when i took it out for a test drive i had to tell the salesman what it was!

I'm new to Skoda, so pardon my ignorance, but what are these?

For me that's one of the biggest reasons for buying a Skoda!

I see the photo on Skoda UKs Facebook page, good bit of PR for them :)
