Have you got a link for a microphone? Is your dealer sorting it out for you an fitting the microphone for you as well?

Its the VAG group computer interface/diagnostic tool - it allows control of all things electronic on the car, including activating the bluetooth : )

You can buy one, but if you are only using it the once, maybe another member on here has one, or failing that any decent VAG garage will have one.

Check out the link above - it is a very quick and simple process of unchecking one box, then buying a mike for £20 which many people on this forum seem to be sourcing already.

If and when I sort mine out I will post some feedback - looks straight forward, but main dealers will probably shy away from helping on this one, particularly as they Skoda deactivate it in the first place so they can flog bluetooth as an extra!

I have access to a VCDS cable and the microphone is OEM so fits in the correct slot in the interior light.

I am trying to get some guidance from carsystems which loom to use (the VCDS bit is simple). I will check the connection of my headunit tomorrow but other pictures on the net show the mic inputs as being present.

Hello All,

My partner is picking her Blackline up today from DM Keith in Leeds. She's gone for a Race Blue manual hatchback and she's pretty excited right now!

All that we have to do is a bus to the station, a train to London Paddington, a tube to London King's Cross, a train to Leeds and then a lift to the dealer. But at least we'll have a nice drive back to get to grips with it!

Deal was too good to miss on these cars! £18125 inc metallic paint, 5 years warranty, full tank of diesel, full wheel alignment before delivery (had read about some people having issues with this on new Skoda Octavias), 3 years (30,000 miles) free servicing and an extra £500 contribution from Skoda towards finance. Plus, being in the RAF, I got an extra £500 off the deal!

Really looking forward to having a go - if I'm allowed!

Ordered on 14 Sep through Forces Cars Direct. There has been a bit of a delay in the pickup though. Were due to pick it up last Thursday but the car was delayed to the dealer only arriving with them on Thursday so no chance to PDI etc. and we were busy at the weekend. We were told that the reason for the delay was poor weather at the port (Grimsby) which meant a delay in unloading the ship and getting the cars transported out.
