Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

Dealer phoned me today, car has arrived in the UK, he's going to get it registered so the finance paperwork can be sorted. Not long to go now!

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Hi folks, first time posting here but as I've just ordered a Blackline from my local dealer today (not bad considering I only went in to look at a used five year old vRS estate :giggle: ) I thought I'd best say hello and share how excited I am!

Given the choice I'd probably have gone for the black but I've ended up with a blue hatchback with DSG as these were only hatches still available but I've got to admit that they still look awesome in the blue so I'm not too dissapointed. I wasn't sure about getting an auto either as I like the control that a manual gearbox gives, but I was completely sold on it after trying out the dealers fully specced vRS.

As I was about to leave the dealer had a delivery with an identical vRS to the one that I had ordered in it so the sales manager "dragged" me round to the workshop to have a look at it - very nice.

I can't wait to get my hands on mine - they are hoping that it will be with my before the end of the month - apparently it's sat waiting to be loaded onto a boat at the moment. In the mean time I'll be keeping an eye on developments here and seeing what the definative answer is for retrofitting bluetooth for the phone - out of choice I'd rather have had that instead of factory sat-nav, still I don't suppose I can complain too much considering all the extra equipment that it comes with and the deals available at the moment.

Chappers.

Ahh, that old chestnut. Apparently mine is sat waiting to get loaded onto a boat as well, in a country 1000 miles away from the nearest sea

They may be keeping each other company then - I get the feeling Skoda don't like to rush their deliveries! ;)

Looks like I've missed the boat then anyway if there's only Blue Dsg'd hatches left.

Time to hastle the Dealer tomorrow I think. Ordered 1st Sept & still no news, I think they forgot to order it.

Not Westgate Skoda by any chance in Grimsby ? Got my car from there last weekend. Very pleasant experience indeed !

Popped into my local dealer today ( Motorline Dartford ) and they have a brand new pre-reg blackline hatch DSG. Very nice !!!! No buyers yet !!!

Where are Derek Slacks? Did you get any money off list? Other than the vat offer obviously.

No, it was Hortons in Lincoln.Obviously the sales team did their jobs well - like I said I was only going in to look at a 57 plate estate!

Got told this morning mine has landed and is at Grimsby. Just awaiting delivery to Leeds. *twiddles thumbs*

Feel free to do mine!

oh, 200+ miles away. In all honesty the stereo removal is the hardest bit. There is plenty of room to pass a wire under the dash to the fuse box and then up the door behind the rubber seal, you can then use a ruler to poke the wire into the roof lining. Pop off interior ligh, 2 screws in the housing and then feed the mic to the whole and mount into the light housing.

There is a guide to removing the stereo on here too

HTH

Ill probably be doing this with mine once i find a helpful VCDS owner locally to enable the BT

If you get this sorted (yourself), I wouldn't mind popping up your neck of the woods for a fee to sort mine? your not too far away from me

Ok. I'll make sure im happy with how its supposed to work. Generally its a case of undoing a few torx screws and prizing off the surround nice and gently. Shouldnt be too difficult.

Was it a blue DSG petrol hatch by any chance? If it was it's mine awaiting fitment of the black Neptunes. ;-)

I was at a dealer on Monday and the only estates left were 2 race blue and one black. Not sure if that included DSGs as I was after a white manual and so only asked about cars with real gearboxes ;).

Only 2 left at the dealer? If so which dealer as I need a car in a hurry!

No, according to the dealer that was what was left full stop. Unless I misunderstood them and other dealers have access to different stocks.

Hmm, I was told today there were at least 3 in unallocated ones ready to be shipped in the next few days.

Odd

Back on the Bluetooth front...

Got a quote of £30 plus vat to unlock the Bluetooth and phone dialling (plus any other features i want unlocking).

Contacted a car audio specialist who will fit the mic for £20. Just need to ascertain the exact mic and supply it to them to fit it.

But for around £100 will sort the Bluetooth problem without doing the job yourself.

I am in the Southampton area so if anyone wants to know where i got these quotes from let me know.

All I need now is a bloomin Blackline sat in the drive - still sat in Emden :wall:

The fitting of the mic is a piece of ****. Run the cable through the dash and up the A pillar across the screen and into the light area. The longest part will be removing the stereo

Did you have to take anything apart? What mic did you get?

What's the garage called? Might take mine there if its that cheap?

Just picked up my black manual hatch today and had a really enjoyable drive home even though it was hammering down the whole time! My boss dropped me off in his Golf R32 and looked very impressed when the dealer drove the car round to the forecourt. He said it looked way better than he thought it would.

I asked the dealer how many were left and he reckons a few blue DSG's was all that was left. No white and no black. Whether he was tellling the truth or not is another matter! :wonder:

Beautiful car to drive though
