Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Haha you part timer ;) Thats nothing compared to whats gone wrong on mine lol. It was in the garage for 9 days straight at one point and they still wanted to keep it for longer because it still wasn't fixed but I needed it back because the Citigo that they gave me was too small for what I had to do the next week.

Im thinking of selling now to be honest. Can't stand going to that garage. Even my missus said the manager is condescending! And she always says I overreact. I have a free service given to me for compensation by skoda cs..Do you know whether or not, I can sell the car with it?

No I'm up in Aberdeen so I use the local Skoda dealer who I do have to admit after a couple of hickups seem to be very good. I almost traded my one in for a Focus RS but it was out of warranty and if anything did go wrong then it would cost me money rather than Ford so I'm keeping mine until the new Focus RS is out (its not been confirmed yet but its looking very likely) Its in the garage today for the 22nd day I think it is lol.

That sounds nice. Spoke to skoda cs and they said I can't sell the car with the free service they gave me as compensation. Shame.

The only problems so far in 18 months - Glove Box wouldn't stay shut & the SatNav threw a wobbly. New aerial & gubbins replaced - took a couple of hours while I waited - no dramas (the SatNav, not the GloveBox!!)

Still Very Happy ;)

Only problem I've had so far is SWMBO wanted the keys for the 1st time to 'blow the cobwebs out of it'. A quick Obie****anobie moment changed the subject and she's not mentioned it since :whew:

How many miles did you do in yours?

mines on 5.5k!

Snap!

I felt it was really starting to run well after 8.000 miles when the engine had loosened up and improved economy and performance,,61 mpg on a 300 mile trip(maxidot readout)?

Only managed 59 coming back from Manchester tonight....

Jesus, driving miss daisy? Can't see the point in buying a vrs and pootling about to get 59mpg! Might as well buy a 1.6 diesel.

My Blackline is clocking about 18500 miles now. I get between 47 to 50mpg on my daily commute on country roads.

I remember not long after I bought the car, I had a bit of buyers remorse and sort of questioned whether to keep it.

Hand on heart it's the best car for the money I've ever bought. I've just traded my other car for a new Subaru Sti and although I obviously enjoy the Sti, it's the Blackline that I would choose as my daily driver everytime.

Not at all Kris. Just making good smooth progress. Passed far more cars than passed me and those that did were the usual lane 3 exocets. Probably helped by a long section of 50 limit on the M6 between Stafford and Walsall which has average speed cameras on the whole section so I just put the cruise on. The 59 was trip 2 so was actually the average since I'd filled up. 201 miles in total to Manchester and back plus a bit of local bimbling and still an indicated 3/4 of a tank left.

Up to 34k in mine. All going well

Without this turning into a for sale thread. What sort of money have people got for trade in/sale elsewhere? Mines 2 years old this week and I am getting itchy feet.

62 Plate white manual 29K FSH mint condition phone kit enabled and MDI £12.7K from dealer in Grimsby (I am in South Wales). I had no interest from here and only got hits from Autotrader. Lowest offer was £12.1K. I was lucky to get what I did in October 2014.

£17K!? They were about that brand new!

Yes correct not far off saying that my old one is up for £15K

Mine's 2 years old next week - only a couple of little niggles and it's done 42.5K

  • Both front wheel bearing replaced under warranty - bit of a drone after about 6k miles - no fuss, just done while it was in for the wiper motor replacement
  • Wiper motor replaced (as above)
  • TPMS 'paranoia' - rectified at Service

That said it's currently in Lookers as the ECS & TPMS came on whilst driving the other night.  Steering angle sensor fault.  According to Skoda Assist - nothing a 4 wheel laser alignment won't fix!

I still love it - but without the Cardiff roundtrip a week, i'm not getting the MPG i used to!
