Ill get a few more pictures when its fitted

Looks awesome mate. We're the r32 side skirts a direct fit?

  • Author

Thanks man! Not at all. They have been cut down about 6 inches, had the end cut off and fiberglassed back on, then the angle of the curve made tighter, and then screwed in and loads of sealer. 5 tubes to be exact haha in all it took 22 hours to do the side skirts.

You can buy the polo ones which are smaller and apparently a direct fit, but the flick at the end is a lot smaller and more subtle

Thanks mate. May have a look at the polo ones then :)

Big changes coming, just sourcing parts atm, emailing companies, getting the storage sorted, and my WHEELS ARE FOR SALE!!

New wheels.

Boot build.

Engine bay getting some love.

Changes in the interior.

Performance maybe...

About time there was an update :)

The changes sound good. Look forward to some more pics :)

I try to avoid this thread as it makes me sad that my silver one doesn't look as well :(

Wasn't sure about the skirts but they've grown on me :)

Ha it has been a while, i have bough another car as my winter, then messing with ideas.

More than likely going onto 18's.

More leather work, custom parts.

Some octavia parts aswell.

haha jars. You have to try something or you will never know, i would rather try and fail

Currently in the process of ripping out the interior, ready for a few upgrades, going to find some material tomorow hopefully!

Its looking sorry for itself, can't wait for things to come together

  • Author

Went up and started taking the fabia to bits tonight, Headlining, A,B and C pillar covers are off ready to be trimmed up!

Went and bought the material today, it is a tan/beige suede, lighter than my seats as i don't want it to feel dark and cramped in the cockpit lol

Few more updates on the winter progress, I wanted my headlining done and after returning to my trimmer and getting quoted £500 for a headlining there was no chance haha

So I went and bought £20 worth of material and some industrial glue from work and gave it a go myself!

here is how it turned out, for my first attempt it came out okay!

here are the other parts that I trimmed aswell, happy with how they came out, on the picture i haven't tucket the material round the back on some of them

I have also found my new wheels for next year, they are 18", 8j and et20 all round. Your welcome to have guess what they are, The were only made by 1 company in 1 year as an optional extra for 1 car. 1996 being the year.

love the look of 18's on this fabia, this with air would look sick   :D

more to come!

Looking forward to seeing it on the car! Thinking of doing the same kinda thing to my headlining but different colour, is the headlining glued onto the roof and how easily does it come off?

Cheers :)

  • Author

Me too man! Sounds good mate, what colour you thinking?? Just take the A,B and C pillars off, then all of the grab handles, and the sun visors (they have a fragile cover on them be careful) then the roof lining will just slide out.

Probably just black, as mine isn't the vrs it's a cream colour atm, okay cheers for that :)
