Managed to bodge a jubilee clip on there, not sure how long it will hold, just need it to get me 40 miles till I can sort it tomorrow I hope, going to replace all the clips with Mikalors now. Cannot believe my only issues with the boost pipes are the fact the clips are snapping rather than blowing off, annoying haha.

Hope it held up ok mate. Not seen clips fail like that before! Mine has been ok with jubilee clips since I've had the front mount fitted.

The only problem I had was when I first fitted the egr delete. The standard hose didn't hold on very well and one journey I ended up doing 15 miles along a motorway in limp mode, wasn't fun!

Could you buy a massive pack of Mikalors at a discount rate? I'd love to upgrade to them on mine

 

P.s weird bit of trivia, this must have been the last thread I looked at on my phone before I fell asleep last night as I dreamt you came to my house to weld some rear arches onto my old rover metro then started doing the robot dance with my dad on my driveway. I don't even know what you look like! haha

Thanks mate clutch is now fitted and I'm happy. Now to bed it in for the next 1000 miles and then the map will be adjusted. While I'm there I will have the brake fluid changed at the same time as it's due it and Dean mentioned it could do with being done.

All in all another great night down at Dirty Torque with lots of laughs!

Got some new Mikalor clamps here to fit to replace the TX ones. Thinking of emailing TX to give them my feedback on their ****e quality.

Also car is booked in for RR'd on the 3rd January then the map will be adjusted on the day and another go on the RR'd. All thanks to Dean for sorting it for me. Very excited!!

Replaced the hose clips tonight was 1 short pretty sure I'd bought enough and 1 spare!

Mikalors are much better and took some adjustment to get the bumper back on due to the sheer 'beefy' size of the clip compare to the TX ones.

Was going to give it a clean tomorrow but wooooo been called into work. Possibly Xmas day it will get a nice clean

I'm hoping the clamps hold fine! I've not been out for a test run but have to drive home to work shortly and would be a major pain in the arse if one did happen to blow off! *fingers crossed*

They are about £2 each off eBay mate, strong as hell! I reckon the pipe would bend before the clip broke, mine are done up hellish tight!

Last night I went down to Dirty Torque and had the map adjusted. Had 2 maps sent back. 1 is slightly lower boost than the other. Noticeable difference straight away, the higher boost one felt awesome! And that was with the car all full of crap in the boot!

Running the car around for a week on the lower boost one just to check there's no leaks or no pipes are going to blow off.

Next Friday we will run with both maps and see how they compare on the dyno. Noticed no increase in smoke driving to work tidy either which is another bonus.

Cannot wait to see what figures I get. Very pleased.

They do logging and reading etc then the files are sent over to Mike at TD Tuning over in the USA. That's why mapping is usually done late at night or early in the morning. He's very popular over there!
