Fitted the xenon lights today! Brought a touch of class to the front end! The chrome from the headlights blends in very well with the new style skoda badges which I'm glad about as I was starting to dislike the new badges!

Pics tomorrow :)

Liking the wrapped grille and new skoda badge, good work Dan. If I'm honest I'm not keen on those headlamps, but each to their own ;-)

Thanks mate, I like the headlamps, they may not look the best but the light out put is well worth it! :)

Needs a bit more fettling really but I didn't fancy getting soaked as you know! I found some black vinyl in the car when I got home, will bring some over to you next week.

  • 2 weeks later...

What armrest did you use? And how does it fit? Exactly what I'm looking for!

Mine is out of an S3 but any golf / bora one will fit.

Took a dremel to the cup holder bit of the centre console (behind handbrake) then used some screws to hold it in place. It's not 100% sturdy but I love it. Much comfier to drive and another cubby hole to store some crap in ;)

2260 yet?

2260 yet?

Funny you should say that ;)

I'm talking to Dean about things. New job, more money, **** loads of over time. It's hard to not resist.

Helix clutch first!

Stunning car mate. What power do you think you're running?

Fair play Dan. Il let you know about my thoughts on the Helix setup as it's getting fitted next weekend. Can't wait!

You also have a pm from me too ;-)

Thanks pal, not really sure in going to guess around 200bhp, bit more to come though after a clutch and a load more to come if I eventually go for a GTB turbo!

Thats sweet, I didn't quite gather from the thread, did you fit a hybrid 150 or just a standard 150 in the end? And remap? Cheers

It's a hybrid 150 turbo with a billet wheel and then remapped but slightly detuned to use the standard clutch for now.

All done by the lads at Dirty Torque :)

Awesome car mate! Just wanted to ask how you got the centre console out? I've just bought an armrest and will be fitting it when it arrives :)

Screws under the ash tray and screws under that little pop out cubby hole thing behind the handbrake.

I just ****ing broke something on my arm rest - now it's floppy as **** in the holder!

I worry about mine don't want to be stranded one day :(

Which Joe?

Vrs Joe, gtb turbo, lives in Shropshire!

It's me.

226hp and 370lbft (not 390!!)

I must have got a good'un! I'll spend the money on a uprated clutch when it goes, but until then if it aint broke I won't fix it!

Joe

My bad sorry Joe, I was close-ish!
