It feels amazing to drive.

A few little gremlins to sort.

load signal wire seems to have snapped, so will get that sorted. Everything else should be sorted by vcds.

future plans:

wheels/ tyres - both sets could do with a refurb and need 4 new tyres across both sets

might be more economical to get a new set

spoiler

outer window trims - current ones are horrid, bubbled and distorted so need replacing

Load signal wire repaired by my brother Chris. Also found some other wiring for the air conditioning which was ruined. Looked like a mouse had been at it.

Also took it around to show my other brother, as it used to be his car. Looks a lot different to when he last saw itimage.thumb.jpeg.166bc1694a4057c73015e9de21ae1aea.jpeg

Managed to get hold of the original load cover and the side covers. Shame one of them’s missing the clip. But got a replacement on order.

I know. Was expecting them to be more expensive, but £45 for all 4 was great value :)

It's all in the little details, IMO, that make the car better. Both to drive and visually to each individual person, which is why we mod our cars. Great work and attention to detail Charlie car looks amazing!

Had a last minute space arrive at a local car clubs rolling road day

Power was disappointing 185bhp and 300 lbs/ft, although every other car was down on power by at least 20bhp

Have a bit of a flat spot in the curve, which might be a boost issue?

Bit of a difference from the last dynoE81A98DF-7242-42C6-BDA0-8B0DFDFF3C7A.thumb.jpeg.e6fe1073bd69d53a7420bb4c4b53de87.jpeg

Aye I think boost leak because the graphs are similar with a slight decrease but whereas it used to "power" through it now dips off. I'd guess split pipe somewhere or pipe not on far enough maybe.

The change in weather has introduced a new gremlin!

doesnt like starting on cold mornings and nearly left me stranded in Devon this weekend. It turns over and just as it fires it cuts out.

Had a check and found the plug to the maf sensor wasn’t seated properly. Refitted and it started first time.

coincidence??

tried it today and it still struggled. Eventually got going though, but don’t trust it. I think the connector might be damaged, so got a replacement on order. Time for soldering just as it’s getting cold! Joy!

Heres a couple of snaps from when it was working :)

shouldn't it run anyway on a "base" map if the maf is unplugged ?

It probably should. Just being a pain in the ass
