Group Buy On Eibach Springs?

Featured Replies

I am still up for a set of Eibach pro-sport for Octavia TDi Estate and Jabba offer sounds great as I would need them fitted as well!

I was only considering doing the springs at this stage though, as I am sure that the problem with my L&K is largely excessive ride height with resultant body roll.

Well - I didn't realise Jabba were Eibach stockists. I'd be happy to use them, BUT I really can't warrant travelling all the way to Peterborough to get them fitted. I'd have to personally get mine sent by post, and I have a mechanic mate to fit them

Matt - No worries on the TDI rating - part no 7911.140 is for Fabia TDI, so they're the ones I'm getting.

Chanser - The springs aren't really an engine thing, if you know what I mean. You can still have the 30mm lowered look, and the stiffness (oo-er) in the shocks which would be good for cornering, regardless of the engine size! If you fancy a set, go for it!

Jabba - You have PM. :D

Group fitting day at Jabba, John??

Howard,

I didn't know you were close to Jabba or I would have asked it you'd have liked to pop down on Tuesday just gone.

Could have met up with myself, Denis and Jon.

C'est la vie!

May be next time.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Thanks for the thought, Adrian.

Yup, I'm about 30 mins away from Jabbasport, but on Tuesday I was in London village, so wouldn't have been able to make it anyway (unless you were there in the evening?).

BTW - if anyone is on the way to Jabbasport then let me know and we can try to meet up. Mark (Panrix) very kindly popped by when he was Jabba'd and took me for a spin.

Cheers,

and I can vouch for his bacon sandwiches

Howard

I am Jabba bound,Wednesday 13th AM -- will be there for 9:30am - as instructed,if you would like to try arrange a meet, more than willing - would be good to meet a fellow Briskodian.

Dave,

Unfortunately I will again be in London village on that day - got a big project on so spend 2 or 3 days a week there and the rest in Slough where I work. If I had thought about it, I should have posted that I'm around at weekends - most probably when Jabbasport aren't open. Case of brain engagement failure, I'm afraid. :(

Going to the Sept meet though, so should see you then?

Cheers,

Hi Howard,

Sounds good to me - I definitely want to lower the car and Eibach have a good name.

I don't know how you find yours, but I do find the body roll a bit disconcerting through long tightening bends. Maybe the L&K has softer suspension setting?

The Jabba deal sounds excellent as I was wondering about who I could get to fit springs if I bought them.

Shame Jabba don't yet do a TDi re-map, could have had that done at the same time! - I have in the meantime bought a SpeedBuster tuning box, should get that soon, so will see how it goes - may get a Jabba re-map later and sell on the box if it proves to be a better option.

I am on holiday from tomorrow until 4th August.

John.

Hi John,

I'd recommend anyone getting these kits to get Jabba to fit then as well. They do these kits all the time and "knows their onions", I you know what I mean.

FabDI had his done there, has had no problems and is well pleased with it all.

That said it's not difficult and all garages should be able to do it hassle free; Jabba just have the specific experience.

Just my 10 pences worth.;)

Cheers.

Adrian.

Hmmm - I'm currently near'ish to Jabba now (Leicester) - wonder if its worth popping over on Monday, as I have the day off and could have a word, like... ?

Maybe over at Jabba on Wednesday/Thursday as I want Elton to make some adjustments to the rears - if he can fit me in..

Maybe bump into one or two of you there!

OK - Disco has got back to me and it looks like he can do something regarding these eibach kits. I'm not sure how many people we have interested at the moment, but we're looking, at the moment, at

Prices included VAT, but you have a PM now with discounts on those prices:)

Thanks mate, received as such. I just hope a few more peoples  their desire for a pro-kit too. Remember peeps, the more we have, the cheaper it is for everyone! (and it's hell of a mod)

Jason,

Yes, still interested. I need someone with expertise to fit them, though. In your conversations with Disco would they do this - I know it's not an issue for you. Also, did you get anything bacxk from Jabbasport??

Cheers,

Can't make it sadly.

I've heard nothing about fitting - Jabba will do it, but for me personally I'm getting a pretty teched up mate to fit them, as it saves me a 700 mile round trip. Disco@impreziv has given the bext prices at the moment though. But I've been off work last week & this group buy seems to have lost some interest.

It seems there are only two genuine interesteds (me & howard) and one who has to win over the SWMBO... Argument: how about "because I want to!...."

Jason,

You have a PM

John,

You have a PM, including Jabba prices.

I'm going with the company I first enquired with, "Wallace performance". They'll do my kit for

Hi All,

Just had Eibach Prokit lowering kit fitted to my L&K Estate today and the difference is amazing, probably more so with the L&K as I reckon it is very softly sprung (luxury suspension?).

Body roll is greatly reduced and the handling feels much taughter without annoying banging and crashing on poor surfaces - I can definitely recommend this mod!

Attached is picture of car after kit fitted.

looks good - like those wheels too!

I feel a phone call to Jabbasport is in order.....
