  • the tuning box i had before my jabba remap was r/r at 336lbft and 174bhp but again it was smoking like a ****, jabba remap 312lbft 174bhp no smoke and a extra 150 miles a tank

  • Shark! One of my mates has an Awesome remap and mine is much smoother and smokes ALOT less!

  • Plumes of smoke on a stage 1 map I'd call unnecessary.

Ahh rite, I see what you mean :)

Nah no garages like that near me :( the garage who've done the turbo are baffled and its not bringing anything up on their computer... Had it scanned elsewhere and it came up with egr and maf problems but egr is fine and maf seems fine, it's chugging out black smoke and over spinning the turbo...? and the place I got it remapped is in Bridgend and its closed until the 22nd of November for some reason :/ extremley frustrating!! I've spoken to my local skoda garage and they said they charge £55 an hour +vat for diagnostics, and they can go into the ecu and check absolutely everything, :)

Sorry to have hi jacked the thread btw

For fault finding I find skoda the best people to take it to, I took mine to about 3 garages to diagnose a problem of mine and none of them had the hard/software to find the problem, eben tho they advertised in VAG diagnostic, Took it to Skoda they charged me £75 and they found the problem in a matter of minutes and repaired it at no extra cost. Maybe i was lucky but any thing that needs diagnosing I now go to Skoda

Thank you for th re assurance dude :)

Sound like you have a set of very poor Independents and a very good skoda dealer. Local to me the skoda dealer is truly awful, as are the parts department. I use to hate it when work needed doing on the car, worrying where to take it, would it get treated properly/fixed correctly, would it be looked after etc and that is before I thought about the costs. Thankfully I found Unit 18 through here, right on my door step, no more worries or issues.

Where is that based?

Some smoke can be expected when tuning the 130pd's, however, it should not be excessive.

We run approx 175hp and 295lbs/ft torque on the P-Torque stage 1 remap. Smoke is very similar to the stock car.
