Hi guys,

Just a quick message to say hello. Just bought myself an 06 plate fabia vrs this afternoon, i must say even tho i have only owned the car for a few hours it is the nicest i have driven. I look forward to attending meets and seeing what things there is to modify on the little hot hatch ;)

Paul

eh up! and hi from another Sheffielder!

No doubt we'll see you at the Mansfield meet with the other Sheffielders then.......

Hi and welcome aboard.

Glad to see you love the car after a short time.

Yes i will hopefully attend the mansfield meet :) What are the meets like on here, many people go? I was in the 206 owners club before and the meets were just pathetic, only 2/3 cars would turn up and people would say they were going and just not turn up. Wasn't very good at all :(

Hello Paul and welcome along

I am near enough to Sheffield! Hi and welcome :)

Any mods on the car?

There's usually quite a few that attend in Mansfield. Obviously not a bit like the Pug meets then lol.

No mods just yet although i ordered some wind deflectors last night :p i'm thinking maybe tint rear windows, cat back exhaust, intake, a stage 1 map and maybe lower a little but gonna get people's views and opinions first. Haha no doesn't sound like the pug meets at all lol

If you ever want a mini meet around Sheffield way just let me know fella ;) I might have owned and still own a few fast derv wagons in my time so happy to pass that knowledge on :)

Yeah that would be great :) Don't suppose your free at the weekend or one evening next week?

I could do saturday depending on time. Sunday I am down at GTi Festival (your more than welcome to come along!) which is at Santa Pod race way.

Or one evening isnt a problem.

I currently run two hybrid PD130's one in a Fabia which I only got on Sunday myself, but the other is my Ibiza which I have owned since new and as far as I am aware is the fastest standard PD130 engine'd hybrid in the country :)

saturday afternoon any good? Thanks for the offer but i'll have to pass this time lol hope it a good show for you :)

Any plans for the fabia? i think you're right about the ibiza, i'm not aware of any other standard PD130 engines that quick ;)

Yeah cant see why not, changing a wheel bearing early am on the iccle C1 then the missus is wanting to go shopping for some more house stuff (never ending) so afternoon is good for me.

As for the Fabia, its rocking a little over 200bhp at the moment, so plenty good for a daily. Probs just keep it as it is, or in fact drop some more interior bits back into it haha!

What sort of time in the afternoon would be best for you? and obviously where would you like to meet :p haha thankfully i don't have that (well not just yet :p)

sweet, i'd like to try and get 170-180bhp out of mine i'd be very happy with that :) what sort of interior mods you got/thinking of?

Not so much mods but returning to standard and even thats a maybe as its rather comfy next to anything else I own!

Time wise, I could actually do it a little early maybe late morning or lunch timeish. 170bhp - 180bhp is a good target, but remember power is nothing without control..... ;)

Could do lunchtime, go for something to eat and drink :)

I was looking again last night and dear me the fabia sits so high, you could lay in the arch gap :p You look at alot of other makes of sporty cars and they only have like a 1" or 2" gap, i don't understand why they don't do them all the same

Mine sits pretty high due to weight over the rear at all even with 40mm springs on. The Ibiza is all the say down with the helpers out and still has a decent gap there! But in fairness looks arent other important to me.

Might have to bring the missus along then for foodage otherwise I will get told off for going for food without! lol.

I'm not fussed/into slammed cars, i was looking and you can get some 25mm lowering springs which if it takes it down just a little so the gap isn't so big that will be more than fine for me especially if i'm taxi driving for people :p

Yeah bring the missus along that not a problem, i think i might have to look after my little bro so i may have to bring him but that not a definate lol Where we thinking? somewhere not too busy? meadowhell will be rammed on a saturday

But the pub further down on the corner normally isnt, the one across the the arena?

Welcome. :)

Another Sheffielder here too!
