I know was crazy for a Sunday. Despite it still being in Kent I am miles away! And they didn't let me in straight away as I had too much fuel!

Too much fuel. Do they think Skoda's just spontaneously combust!! They should know it's only the Ferrari 458's that do that.

Yeah I know it was crazy and the worst thing is when i got in the car in the morning I had half a tank!

As those of you who know me or have read this build thread will know. My octy doesn't want for anything. However there have been a couple of little things that always have annoyed me. First the embarrassing squeal from rear brakes when reversing. This has been cured by fitment of helper springs fitted to the handbrake release on the rear calipers.

While I had the car in the air and wheels off I took the opportunity to clean inside of wheels and also rear wheel arches and suspention components.

Next up the scabby slam panel that was letting the side down every time I peered under the bonnet. So an hour with the spanners left front of car looking like this.

And this removed.

The front bumper has been dropped off at the paint shop to be refinished due to being peppered with stone chips. And will come back like new. I hope !

I have some options for the slam panel. Either find a mint used one or powder coat gloss black or paint body colour. Or trip to TPS and purchase new slam panel. I'm leaning towards the visit to TPS. What do you guys think ?
