gonna carpet them?

  • Author

gonna carpet them?

Oh yes it's not finished yet. Needs infill pieces and filler so it moulds nicely into the sides. Then carpet and two JL audio subs to be fitted and alpine PDX amps sunk into boot floor.

Looks good mate!!!!!

Can you PM me the dimensions please???? I am going to make one for my octy....

I have no idea buddy as Lloyd55vrs is doing it.

Hey look :D

A trashed red octy boot lol

I bet the owner freaked with all that styrofoam everywhere ;)

Its not a measure type shape bud

Hence the foam

And to make it more fun its a few mm height difference between the sides lol

Boxes are governed by the drivers side, u get a snug 8 inches width iif few the box to slot into

If u took the carpet out you'd get abit more room

But thus far there has been no bad words :D

Just a long silence when i broke my storage net lol

They were just sprayed over black to give pete an idea on how was looking

The side supports r just to mould against then will spilt away

I will swear at it when it comes to trimming ;)

Although im eyeing up some easy stretch shizel

Amps will be hidden away safely to allow use of the boot :)

And this is the man who used to break into a sweat over an oil change?, you've definitely got skills Lloyd, don't know if you're taking notes, but I think a few people are going to be watching you on this one and asking questions, ............................so many questions.

I so wish I'd bought a Black one, car looks stunning as usual Pete, sooooo shiney. :giggle:

Hehe i try matey :)

Hopefully it will turn out nice for pete

Questions though .... Eeeeeek :D

Fair play Lloyd you got some skills mate

Thanks mate :)

The shape is better now :)

Just needs lots of sanding

Meh :D

Nice, love glass fibre work - can scratch for hours afterwards :D

Even more fun when ur sander has died and decent sandpaper has been sat in damp

I shall do it another day :D

They call that character building :D

Great work Lloyd.

They call that character building :D

Character build / soul destroying

They go hand in hand quite often those terms :D

Great work Lloyd.

Thanks dude :)

The red tounge boot handle :)

Love it

Looks good, similar set up to how I did mine :)

Don't make the mistake I did with mine on the boot floor the first time, cos as mine was hinged and needed it to open up,I didn't take into account that when the sub was fitted that it sat proud of the panel,so I trimmed it all, fitted the sub and then tried to open it and it hit the sub DOH!

Ended up putting a bead on each side and narrowing the floor a bit for clearance like this.

2309233_27_full.jpg

I mite do it in 2 sections

So about a 10 inch bit that u pop up and remove first

Thats y the floor is still bare so can play with it after subs and sides are done

Or mite notch it out and trim it so its kinda just got a unsupported bit of carpetto allow it to squash

We shall see :D

Or i msy just fack it up ha ha ha
