Hi! 1st post on my 06 petrol octy vrs.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I've owned my 06 octy vrs for 18 months now (petrol) and love it. There is one thing that gripes me though........ fuel consumption! Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting 40 to the gallon but I only ever get 300 miles max on a tank. I'm not heavy on the right foot but it is mostly commuting miles that I do. If this is normal then fair enough, what does everyone else get?

If your commute is urban, stop start and not too far then 300 is not that bad. Temperature also reduces MPG readout by 3-4 MPG, so it's seasonal. If you drive steadily up and down motorways and A roads at the legal limits then 36-38 MPG is easily achievable.

Thanks for that. My commute is stop start and only 9 miles. Not good for mpg I guess!
