vRS19TD's Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

I love these as much as the spiders but these will be a bit more rare. :D

I won't be getting rid of the spiders though and getting these will open up the possibility of getting the spiders refurbed. :)

Makes a change having something rare on these Fabias lol.

I've no idea what to do wheel wise, want mine refurbing but want a wheel change too!

Not a clue tbh, something 16" I think. Something tells me to go scene queen lol. Not sure I can be bothered faffing about with fitment etc though.

You've lost me with 'scene'. Safe to say, something i will never do!! :D

The 5 spokes will look great when on. Makes the wheels look bigger than they really are aswell with less spokes and will look great lowered aswell. Keep it up john!

Cheers Matt, can't wait to get the wheels. :)

Getting the suspension changed is proving to be a bit of a headache, though hopefully Lee can get in touch with his mechanic friend. I'm reluctant to take it to a garage in case they do the normal trick of "finding" things that are wrong and will cost £££ to fix.

How's it going with the Volvo??

You never fancy having a crack at the suspension yourself? Only way to learn and really not that hard!!

Yeah the volvo is going strong, haven't done anything to it mind you as I'm happy with how it is. Needs a couple of new front tyres before the mot at end of February. Probably have the wheels refurbed in summer in a nice anthracite colour but nothing more!

Thought about doing the work myself but don't want to risk it with something like this, so would rather assist someone with previous experience.

Fair play. No point messing if you're happy with it. Anthracite wheels is something i keep toying with but i like the silver as well.

Haven't done much recently, apart from add a couple of vRS stickers (pics after next weekend).....

Quick pic i managed today while changing my rear plate and dodging the rain:

Planning on getting rid of the small 'vRS' sticker but not sure whether to leave the bigger sticker where it is, move it down to the bottom of the door or put it in place of the smaller one.

:D Blame Jason, he made the offer to drop them to me next weekend not realising i'd moved from Stourbridge, so i decided what better way to spend a day off than driving to Exmouth. ;)

Are you getting them refurbed before 15th? ;)

  • Author

I'm not sure whether i will get them refurbed but they won't be on by the 15th, though they should be on by Combe. :)

Great pics John, the new wheels will look great. What were you doing with the spiders?

  • Author

Cheers Charlie. I'm keeping the spiders for now, possibly to use as winters but not 100% sure yet.

I felt like i had on Saturday until i went out with my family and started getting a really bad sore throat again and still feeling it today but even worse and seems to be more on the left side of my throat than the right where i had the most pain last week(s).

On Topic (ish):

I've never driven through so many random outbreaks of rain and sun as today. It's almost like it changed every 30-45 mins, until i got to Exmouth and was then thankfully basking in the sunshine while i had my lunch on the sea front. B)

First bits started arriving for my DIY alloy refurb:

I've got a few more parcels to collect tomorrow and a redelivery on Saturday and should hopefully be able to make a start. :)

I think i need more paint though as i only planned on doing the insides in places but starting to think about possible full refurb. :o

Either way, i can't see me getting them on by Combe. :(

get 'em started, you'll be fine. Over a month to go yet, mate. Will they fit in the oven, about 60oC
