Met up with Korban today and had the coming home lights kit fitted and my Blackvue hardwired in to come on with the ignition.

Fitted new top boost pipe on 23/07/13, one from this thread (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/274533-top-boost-pipe-replacement-diy/). Worked fine on Wednesday until about 1/2 way back home on the M40 and the pipe connected to the intercooler coupler decided to pop off and the car went into limp mode. Managed to temporarily reattach it at the side of the motorway but still stuck in limp mode. Stopped at Oxford services, cleared the fault codes with a U281 and felt fine until i hit about 50mph and limp mode came back, so managed to limp it home and is now sat waiting for me to attempt to trim and reattach the boost pipe again.

 

Hopefully meeting up with W8 Performance later to map out the EML following the EGR delete, so hopefully he will be able to read and clear any codes again once i've sorted the pipe (though i may still be in the middle of doing that when he comes, so will hopefully lend me a hand ) and will hopefully be at Gaydon on Sunday. ( A lot of hopefullys but that's all i've got!! )

 

Stupid bumper wouldn't fit back on properly after doing the boost pipes as well, so will need to get that sorted out at some point but won't be before Sunday. Pictures to follow......

I have refitted it today after trimming some more off one of the blue pipes and using double jubilee clips.

I'm also getting a kind of whoosing noise since i've fitted the boost pipe but looking around, it seems to be quite normal. 

 

I also noticed another noise on tick over, which i'm not too sure if it's normal or if it can be heard in a video i made:

Alright Jon! Aint seen you around for ages, seen a few others nocking around our hood though. Another 04 silver, a red 06 driving skool car in reigate and a 06 black. All standard tho. Hope yr well. Cars looking nice:)

Hi Pete, haven't seen you either. I don't tend to see that many around these parts, though i did follow a black mk1 Fabia vRS through Merstham earlier.

Also met up with Rob @ W8 Performance to have the EML light mapped out following the EGR delete.

No worries mate. I think it was the m25 anyway. There was lots of traffic which was stop start I noticed you in the outside lane. I didn't notice any smoke. Is it playing up again?

I'm not sure. I keep getting a whoosing noise when the car's under boost and getting black smoke out the exhaust when i do. Hopefully nothing, only noticed it after changing the top boost pipe.

I cleared my Blackvue recordings not long before you said i'd passed you, otherwise i would have checked mine but if you manage to find it on yours, i wouldn't mind checking it out.

I'm not sure if the metal pipe would contribute to more pronounced noise?

That was my thinking as well, so just keeping my hopes on it being that and that also being the reason for the increased smoke as it's now a fairly solid pipe instead of the original.
