Hi, Loving my Blackline, but knocking noise ................

Featured Replies

Iawn / Hi All,

Decided to go for my 1st Skoda and got my lovely blue Blackline hatch a few weeks ago.

Trying a vRS estate sold me on the drive and was looking round the dealers for an ex-demo hatch, but when I saw the price -VAT and the extra kit on the Blackline.......................... !

After 3 weeks / 1500 miles ? - Loving it. The drive, looks and kit are spot on. If I'm honest, you can tell it's a bit 'old technology' as the last couple of Vauxhalls I had were much better on interior design, wind and road noise - but the fun factor and price more than make up for it for me.

Thanks to member forums, have sorted mudflaps and will be fitting the Halfords edge trim to lessen flooding the boot when I open it (much better than my option of using black household guttering either side and trying to make them look like some king of big-bore exhaust ! - well it does rain a bit up here in Wales).

One thing though - has anyone come across a hollow knocking noise from passenger side (I think) when driving along? Been doing it since at least 500-miles, on all surfaces at all speeds. Most noticeable at 20 - 60mph. I'd guess at shock absorber, mount, exhaust; but I'm after some ideas before I take it in to Skoda.

Diolch / Thanks !

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hope this matter gets solved.

Hello and welcome along

There was some top mount issues iirc but that's quite some time ago, try doing a search and good luck getting some answers

Hi,

I've just got bought an Octavia blackline estate and was thinking about mudflaps. What information have you got about them? I thought there was an issue getting one set (not sure if it's front or back) to fit properly.

Sorry to hear about your knocking noise - I hope I don't get it, only done 300 miles! I'd get your car back to the dealer and get them to sort it.

Enjoy driving yur Blackline!
